OrthoKansas, P.A. Lawrence Orthopaedic Surgery PA Announces Practice Name Change.

Lawrence Orthopaedic Surgery, P.A. is pleased to announce that it will officially change its name to OrthoKansas, P.A., as of March 1, 2009.

The 36 year old practice changed its name to OrthoKansas, P.A. to better reflect the services it provides. The new name reflects the growth of the practice as well as conveys a clearer message about the medical group and the comprehensive, clinical care that it provides locally and regionally.

About the Practice The doctors and staff at OrthoKansas, P.A. take pride in providing comprehensive professional care as well as personal and courteous attention to all our patients. OrthoKansas, P.A. is staffed with 16 providers, which include Board Certified Orthopaedic Physicians & Surgeons, PA-C’s, and Physical & Occupational Therapists.

The specialty of orthopaedic surgery generally involves the care of bones and joints. Typical problems include: fractures; dislocations; strains of muscles, ligaments, and joints; tendonitis; bursitis and arthritis. We perform arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacements, carpal tunnel releases, and other orthopaedic procedures.

Other Programs: The Kansas Center for Athletic Medicine, LLC OrthoKansas, P.A. is one of the sponsors of The Kansas Center for Athletic Medicine, LLC which provides services to benefit athletes in Lawrence, Kansas and surrounding communities, focusing on the prevention, evaluation and treatment of sports injuries during competitive events as well as education concerning the enhancement of sports performance through proper nutrition, training, etc. KCAM provides athletic trainers and sports health education to local high schools to help in the prevention and care of sports injuries.
