Details

Kansas Advocates for Better Care (KABC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, founded in 1975 by Lawrence philanthropist Anna "Petey" Cerf. KABC is the only “one-stop resource” offering summarized and detailed reports about every licensed adult care home (such as nursing homes, assisted living, home plus, etc.) in Kansas. We provide guidance if things go wrong in a nursing home. We offer training to non-professional caregivers if they choose to care for someone at home.
We receive no state or federal funding for our operations, and depend entirely on our members, contributors, and project grants to keep our doors open.
