Dr. Hugunin is a graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City. Prior to graduating from Cleveland, Dr. Hugunin earned B.S. degrees in Human Biology and Finance/Economics. Dr. Hugunin is certified by both the Kansas Board of Healing Arts and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Dr. Hugunin’s clinical focus, in addition to disorders of the spine and pelvis, is on conservative management of cumulative trauma disorders, sports injury and functional progressive rehabilitation. He also encourages the integration of chiropractic care with other medical healthcare services to most efficiently and cost-effectively reach successful outcomes with patients.
Dr. Hugunin has certified in Active Release Technique®, which yields greater treatment outcomes to numerous conditions of the spine and extremities. He has experience in the Medical-legal field and has successful represented patients as an Expert Witness on several occasions. He continues to participate in numerous post-graduate training and education seminars and looks to obtain his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) credentials in the next year.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Hugunin is a devoted family man. He is married to his wife Danielle and has two daughters. Dr. Hugunin is originally from Overland Park, Kansas but has established himself in the magnificent city of Lawrence. He enjoys reading, running, spending time outdors and being an active supporter of all of University of Kansas sports teams. He has a goal of beginning martial arts and would like to participate in a marathon.
