David and Debbie Guenther, Baldwin City, announce the engagement of their son, Kyle Robert Guenther, Overbrook, to Jamie Lee Ramskill, Overbrook, the daughter of Jim and Donna Ramskill, Tecumseh.
The future bride graduated from Shawnee Heights High School. She is employed at Kansas State Bank in Overbrook. The future groom graduated from Baldwin High School and is employed at Westar Energy in Lawrence.
The couple plan a Feb. 24, 2007, wedding at Abe & Jake's Landing in Lawrence.

Tim and Sally Anderson, Phoenix, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jeni Marie Anderson, Phoenix, to Karl Hudson Wertzberger, Lawrence, son of Kay Wertzberger, Lawrence, Patti Wertzberger, Scottsdale, Ariz., and the late Dr. John Joseph Wertzberger.
The future bride graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix and attended the DeVry Institute of Technology. She is employed as an information technology manager at Meritage Homes Corp.
The future groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University. He is employed as a district manager for Oakwood Worldwide.
The couple plan an Oct. 27, 2007, wedding in Phoenix.

Rasmussen

Shannon Augustine and John Rasmussen were married Nov. 18, 2006, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. John Schmeidler and the Rev. Dennis Wait officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Melvin and Gini Augustine, Ellis. The groom is the son of Arthur and June Rasmussen, Colorado Springs, Colo.
The maid of honor was Tambi Spitz. The best man was Jim Rasmussen. Bridesmaids were Erin Richter, Ami Barragree and Sarah West. Groomsmen were Tim Rasmussen, Tom Rasmussen and Rob Lacey.
Flower girls were Sydney Barragree and Katrina Barragree. Ring bearer was David Thomson. Ushers were Dave Walker, Steve Eggers, Brad Wohletz and Dan Harper.
A reception was given at the Knights of Columbus.
The bride graduated from Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in Hays, and Benedictine College in Atchison. She is employed as a special education teacher in the Baldwin City school district.
The groom graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, and Kansas University. He is employed as a designer at Amarr Garage Doors in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Diana Folks and Sam Campbell were married Oct. 21, 2006, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Michael Mulvany officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Margaret Folks, Eudora, and the late Kenneth Folks. The groom is the son of Richard and Janet Campbell, Eudora.
The matron of honor was Aubrey Brooks. The best man was Steve Krutz. Bridesmaids were Aubry Bretthauer, Kelly Campbell and Kristen Woodward. Groomsmen were Max Campbell, Darrin Bretthauer and Brian Harris.
Ushers were Zach Brooks, Michael Lockhart, Brett Becker and Matt Fisher. Candlelighters and gift bearers were Bret Folks and Calvin Treybig. Ring bearer was Kenny Brooks. Flower girl was Alexis Bishop. Readers were Tiffany Bishop and Beth Dillon.
A reception was given at Abe & Jake's Landing.
The bride graduated from Eudora High School and received a degree in communication studies from Kansas University. She is employed as a personal lines underwriter at Farmers Insurance.
The groom also graduated from Eudora High and received a degree in civil engineering from KU. He is employed as a structural engineer at Sega Inc.
The couple reside in Eudora.

Rodger and Sheryl Henry, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Lynn Henry, Lawrence, to Mark Christian Daniel Moody, Lawrence, son of Mark and Mary Moody, Asheville, N.C.
The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Lawrence High School, and a 2006 graduate of Kansas University.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of T.C. Roberson High School in Asheville, and a 2006 graduate of KU.
The couple plan a May 26, 2007, wedding in Lawrence.

Anniversary

Musick

Norman and Darlene Musick, Eudora, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family gathering this spring.
Norman Musick and Darlene Workman were married Jan. 12, 1957, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.
Norman graduated from Lawrence High School and retired in 2003 as service manager for Deems Farm Equipment after 43 years.
Darlene also graduated from LHS and was assistant vice president at Kaw Valley Bank, Eudora, for 38 years. She retired in 2002.
Their children are Candace Dardis, Marietta, Ga.; and Jeanette Born and Susan Carnagie, both of Eudora. They have seven grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Anniversary

Hackathorn

Denzil and Marlene Hackathorn

Denzil and Marlene Hackathorn, Lecompton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering this spring.
They were married Jan. 5, 1957, at the Glassport Assembly of God Church in Glassport, Pa.
Denzil was employed as a tire builder and mechanic at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. plant in Topeka for 45 years. He retired in February 2001. The couple now raise quarter horses as a hobby on their farm.
Their children are John Hackathorn and wife Susie, Lecompton; Marlene Jolly and husband David, Ozawkie; and Denzil "Denny" Hackathorn and wife Kathy, Perry.
They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jennifer R. Nartowicz and were married Aug. 27, 2006, at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, with Scott Benson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Frank Z. Nartowicz, Southfield, Mich., and Chris and Marion Anderson, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Reese H. Jr. and Ada Maxine Hays, Hill City.
The maid of honor was Elizabeth Nartowicz. The best man was Greg Smith. Bridesmaids were Andrea Sportsman and Sunee Mickle. Groomsmen were Cameron Marsh and Bruce Husman. Candlelighters were Julia Watson and Amanda Stinemetz. Flower girl was Kendell Leatherman.
A reception followed at Liberty Hall.
The bride graduated from Free State High School, Kansas University and Washburn University's School of Law.
The groom graduated from Salina Central High School, Fort Hays State University and Washburn's School of Law. He is serving as a first lieutenant assistant judge advocate in the Air Force.
The couple reside in Prattville, Ala.

Jay Dee and Barbara Brecheisen

Jay Dee and Barbara Brecheisen, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 14 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1470 N. 1000 Road.
The Brecheisens were married Jan. 17, 1957, at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Jay Dee is a graduate of Baldwin High School and worked for Farmers Co-op and Farmland Industries for 41 years. He retired in August 2000.
Barbara is a graduate of Lawrence High School and worked as a secretary at Vinland Elementary School for 18 years. She retired in 2003.
Their children are Penny Baxter, JoAnne Polk and Robyn Brecheisen, all of Lawrence; Jeri Pringle, Baldwin City; and Deena Green, Kansas City, Kan.
They have nine grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Patti Burch and Branden Ousdahl, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Charlie Burch, Overland Park, and Kim Farrell, Baldwin City. The future groom is the son of Darren Ousdahl and Stacy Ousdahl, both of Baldwin City.
Patti graduated from Baldwin High School and attended Johnson County Community College. She is employed at Lawrence Veterinary Hospital.
Branden also graduated from Baldwin High and plans to attend electricians school. He is employed at Huxtable & Associates.
