The future groom is the son of Darlene and Ike Taylor, Baldwin, and Curtis and Phyllis Lash, McLouth. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1994 and North Central Kansas Vo-Tech, where he received certification as a heavy equipment operator. He is employed at DB Excavating in Spring Hill.
The couple plan a July 1, 2006, wedding at First Baptist Church in McLouth.

The future groom graduated from Hayden High School in 2000 and KU in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He is the store manager at Wheat State Pizza in Gardner.

The future groom graduated with honors in biology from KU. He is a member of the Beta Theta Phi fraternity. He received a medical doctorate from KU's School of Medicine. He is a family practice resident with The Mayo Clinic Arizona. Thomas is the grandson of Dr. John Richard and Joan Johnson, McPherson.
The couple plan an Aug. 12, 2006, wedding at Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette with a reception at the McPherson Country Club.

Maid of honor was Betsy Willhite. Best man was Derrek Young. Bridesmaids were Darcy DeVictor and Amanda Price. Groomsmen were Adam Budny and Justin Claypool. Corinne Brinkerhoff was an honor attendant and reader. Megan Winter was an honor attendant. Benjamin Kruse was a reader. Scott Glaves, Eric Hale, Brandon Jordan and Michael Riney were ushers. Ring bearer was Connor Young. Flower girls were Torre Fisher and Leah Willhite. Lauren Zingre was vocalist.

Matrons of honor were Heather Cummins and Jessica Moore. Best men were Mike Balding and Greg Collins. Flower girls were Abegail Moore and McKayla Sullivan.
A reception was given in the Kansas Room in KU Memorial Union.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Olathe South High School. She received an associate's degree in nursing from Johnson County Community College in 2004. She is a registered nurse at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Baldwin High School. He received an associate's degree in nursing from Johnson County Community College in 2004. He is employed at PHS as a registered nurse.
The couple reside in Overland Park.

The bride is the daughter of Janet and Bob Gens, Massillon, Ohio. The groom is the son of Cheryl and Duane Wilmes, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Christine Ziel. Best man was Robert Gens. Bridesmaids were Angela Bremer, Christine Gens and Lisa Harlan. Groomsmen were Brian Gens, Steve Segebrecht and Adam Wilmes.
Flower girl was Kylee Bremer. Ushers were Jeremy Bowman, Dave Goodwin, Brad Harker and Mike Walters.
An evening reception with cocktails, dinner and dancing was given at Alvamar Country Club. The couple took a honeymoon to St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Clemson University and works for Hallmark Cards.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 1999 graduate of Kansas University. He graduated in 2004 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. He is an optometrist in Lawrence.

Gerald and Catherine Warren, rural Douglas County, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for family and friends on Sunday.
They were married April 8, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence.
Gerald attended schools in Osage County. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 3rd Division, 3rd Tank Battalion from 1951 to 1953. Gerald farmed and worked for Clinton, Marion and Willow Springs townships. He also worked as a supervisor for facilities and operations at Kansas University from 1986 to 1995, when he retired.
Catherine graduated from Lawrence High School in 1954. She worked as a quality checker for Hallmark Cards for more than 33 years until retiring in 1998.
Their children are Peggy Warren, Overbrook; Cindy Nesvarba, Topeka; Brenda Leach, Olathe; and Kelly Coleman, Lecompton. They also have four grandchildren.
