"Pink Ladies" Breast Cancer Support Group

Sheryl Saathoff, decorated bras Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, for the "Bras Across the Kaw" event. Saathoff was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 after a routine mammogram at age 47. Saathoff's friends formed a support group called the "Pink Ladies."

Heartland Dalmatian Club Dog Show

The Heartland Dalmatian Club of Greater Kansas City hosted a Dog Show on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, while the Lawrence Jayhawk Kennel Club is continuing with a Show and Obedience Trial on Saturday and Sunday at the Douglas County Fair Grounds. More than 40 Dalmatians and 40 Boston Terriers were judged on Friday.

Jason Ellison talks about life after prison

Jason Ellison, 28, talks about his recent release from prison and his plans for the future at his mom's Kansas City, Kan.-home. Ellison was convicted in 2006 of sexual battery, after his ex-girlfriend's sister accused him of sexually assaulting her. A Douglas County judge ordered anew trial in the case after several people came forward and testified that the victim said the allegations were false. Douglas County officials have said that they will not retry the case.
