Strength contest returning to Lawrence

The Tonganoxie football team couldn't stop Mill Valley's offense Friday. The Chieftains lost 56-12 and fell to 1-2 on the season.

New state stamp revealed at fair
The new Kansas postage stamp was revealed Friday at the Kansas State Fair. The stamp celebrates the state's 150th birthday and features an old windmill and new wind turbines.
