Various veteran and military groups gathered in Lawrence Monday to help celebrate Memorial Day. Former soldiers and friends and family of the fallen gathered to remember the services and lives of those who served their country.

A man is in stable condition Monday after being run over by a vehicle early Monday morning. The man was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.
