High school grads help out in Haiti
Three recent high school graduates spent time in Haiti helping rebuild following earthquake damage. The trip was funded in part by the students' graduation gift money as well as with donations.

Violin recital held in South Park
Young music students braved the heat and held their violin recital in South Park Friday. The event was moved from the gazebo to the shade of nearby trees to help remedy the heat.

University Audio back in business
The owner of University Audio paid sales taxes that were owed and was allowed to reopen for business Friday. The owner owed more than $8,000 in unpaid sales taxes.

KU grad speaks at cancer breakfast

6Sports Challenge: The great chip-off
Kevin Romary and Andrew Baker of 6Sports took part in the second sports challenge of the summer Friday by taking on some local golf pros in a chipping contest. The 6Sports duo left them a little short and hit them a little long on their way to a 0-3 disaster.
