Several waves of severe thunderstorms are expected across the 6 News Area, mainly Friday evening and overnight. Early Friday storms should clear and give way to quiet, but humid, weather for a good chunck of the day. Highs will top off close to 85°F, with southeast winds at 10-20 mph. Friday evening and overnight may be quite stormy. Some storms could produce damaging winds, large hail and torrential rains. An isolated tornado is not out of the question. Best chances of severe weather will be between 4 p.m. Friday and Midnight Saturday. Stay tuned to ljworld.com, 6 News and your NOAA Weather Radio for later statements on Friday's severe weather potential.
