Pumpkins take flight during design competition
Orange projectiles flew through the air Tuesday morning at KU as more than 200 high school students took part in the 2008 High School Design Competition. Students formed teams to design and build small catapult-like trebuchets that then tossed small pumpkins into the air to try to meet three objectives.
