88-year-old celebrates 08/08/08 birthday
For some people, Friday was a very lucky day. It's called 8-8-8. The eighth day of the eighth months in the year '08. And if you believe in the lucky power of eights, then would certainly say Lawrence resident Lucy Seaver is one lucky woman. That's because Friday was her birthday - her 88th birthday!

Friend2Friend: Clinical trials for cancer patients

Crawford getting more time with first team

Student talks about 100-mile diet
KU senior Jennifer Kongs took a class assignment to the extreme last year. For one month, she restricted what she could eat to food that was grown or raised within a hundred miles of Lawrence. That meant she could have plenty of vegetables and meat, but no chocolate.
