City leaders move to keep property taxes lower and hours on the bus shorter. A majority of Lawrence city commissioners indicated they prefer to make the T's last run at 6 p.m. starting next year.

Construction crews race to finish SJHS
Construction crews continue to race against the clock in finishing the new South Junior High. Lawrence Public Schools Facilities Director Tom Bracciano says two classrooms will not be ready for the start of school and the first few weeks.

The "Jet Motion" offense at the college football elvel immediately brings to mind teams like Florida and Arkansas. This fall, Eudora High may join those programs with its own brand of the "Jet Motion."

Pistora finishes volleyball career
Th 6Sports HyVee High School Scholar Athlete of the Year, Ali Pistoria, can add another accolade to her list. The Tonganoxie High grad played in theis evenings Kansas Volleyball Association All-Star game at Silve Lake High School.
