- Why do the Lawrence public schools require one extra semester of social studies than the state requires? That’s one less elective for all of our students.

- Of the $18 million proposed to expand the Lawrence Public Library, how much of the money is actually for the library as opposed to adding more parking to downtown?
- I looked online at the sample ballot. The library measure was a bunch of gobbledygook. I would like to know, if I want to vote "yes" to OK the $18 million for the library, do I actually check "yes"? It's very confusingly written.
Saturday, October 23
- Do I need to do anything special to get my computer ready for today’s recycling event?

- What’s the city ordinance for parking a party bus on a residential property in a subdivision?

- Interesting story in Tuesday’s Journal-World about the police officer with multiple sclerosis, but I wish it had included the cost of the miracle drug and whether it was covered by insurance.
