I've got 13 fourteeners but that's probably gonna be it. I run out of gas above 12,000 ft. anymore. If you want to get them all: start early...
Gasp, gag, choke, ears pop, etc.
A martini at 10,000 ft. is just right...
Hoxie, Kansas. I spent a month there one weekend . . .
The Amazon rainforest, you can find me there at least 4 times a year.
I love the beaches of the Pacific NorthWest. Some are sandy and some are rocky. The pebbly beaches hide agates, already smoothed and rounded by the ocean. It's not like Cali, on the coolish side rather than warm and frequently foggy (which I love) and rainy. But I love it even on the gray and rainy days. The Pacific has it's own life there. You can wake up to the sound of sea lions honking on the beach. Pods of California Gray Whales run close to the coast and everybody has binoculars hanging by their back door. Occasionally you will see a Right Whale or a pod of Orca looking for a seal meal. In Newport, OR, which is a working fishing town, the docks are literally covered with seals and sea lions who feed off the chum the canneries throw into the harbor as a by product of their fish canning. The bulls establish their own territories and have no qualms about getting into fights with other bulls and knocking them off the dock while they fill the air with their braying. If you have a private boat docked in the harbor you have to pick your way through the seals to get to it. Because of the ocean winds, on warm sunny days the beaches are filled with color as kite hobbyists take to the air with stunt kites and multi-winged kites.
