I will just be glad when this crap is all over and my television programs are normal again. To televise something that is nonsense and garbage is down right idiotic.

Are you kidding me? This is what HD TV is for.
After this, there's no reason to turn on the TV again until football season. ( I hope we've fired Lew Perkins by then)
Baker of course.
(I hope Turner Gil is rooting for them too, so we have God on our side.)

It's Butler. And I hope Lew is still here improving facilities all over campus.

I must admit, this is the funniest thing I have heard in a while. Lets look at some time slots and see what is normally on CBS but was bumped due to bball:
Thursdays: Survivor, The Mentalist Fridays: Ghost Whisperer, Medium Saturdays: CSI Miami, Criminal Minds Sundays: Amazing Race, Undercover Boss
You're telling me Survivor and Amazing Race are not nonsense and garbage?
Anywho, Butler all the way!

One thing I would LOVE to see end NOW is the idea that seems to pervade in this area, that every time a KU team wins significantly, it somehow has to have a Miracle attached to it. "Danny and the Miracles", Mario's Miracle". Do you know how much we get laughed at by the rest of Division I because of this? "So what kind of miracle are you gonna pull out of your (expletive deleted) this year to win?" Or... "How come other teams can just win, but Kansas requires miracles to do so?"
This kind of of blathering goes on all over the net, in sports forums, chatrooms, now even the sportswriters are picking up on it more and more.
3 things:
1.) God doesn't trip NCAA players or do anything else to give such a sweet team a Miracle so they can win the title.
2.) Hard work becomes luck.
3.) Attitude is everything, good or bad. We had an ownership attitude, and we got everything that comes with that thinking.....
Just Drop the Miracles crap. We win because we are THE JAYHAWKS, not because the law of averages throws a flukey miracle to us so we can win without worrying about anything else once in awhile.

Sounds like you wish you had cable or satellite. Unfortunately, even cable & satellite force you to pay for a certain number of worthless sports channels. Why I don't know especially when they complain about how sports channels are the most expensive for them to pay for.
Why people would rather sit for hours & watch a bunch of strangers play ball than to simply go out and play ball for hours themselves is bizarre. No wonder we have so many out of shape citizens.
I could understand it if it was a local team, and people were supporting the locals. However, that isn't the case this year.

I just want to see duke get knock out of the picture but I guess they will have it their way and probably go all the way. I am also happy that Roy's boys didn't get an chance to come to the dance.

I would say, as great as KU is year after year ( last 25 anyway), and with only 3 titiles in almost 60 years, it just about takes a miracle to win a championship. Go M&M Morris and the Miracles or maybe Mario's Little Miracle.

... Ya know, people have different interests. Just because the basket ball bounced off your face in gym class 20 years ago doesn't mean that other people might enjoy it. Try getting along and realizing that no cable/Satellite package is going to be a perfect mix. ============================ 1) The backetball didn't bounce off my face. I'm simply saying if I want to play basketball, I can get a ball and play to my hearts content in real life -- not watching it on TV. Don't you think more people would be in better shape if they participated in sports as opposed to just watching it?
2) The Cable/Satellite packages would be a lot better if they allowed "al la carte". If the reason for high prices in cable & satellite are primarily due to high price of sports channels, then why force those of us who have no interest to pay for it? I found the following url of interest:
http://www.dvorak.org/blog/2010/03/16/how-much-of-your-cable-bill-is-for-channels-you-never-watch/
It has a link to the WHOLESALE prices of some of the popular channels. The author mentioned that 40% of the price is for sports channels. Given that information, why should consumers not interested in sports be forced to pay such a high percentage of their bill for services that they aren't interested in. You may not like home improvement channels or the History channel, but that is just penny's on your dollar where as sports is obviously dollars on your penny.

I'd love to play basketball! Could you let me borrow your lower spine for a day or two, none2? Mine went out on me at the ripe age of 14, when I had hardly any bodyfat and was the best sprinter in my middle-school. Three surgeries over 2 decades later, I'm afraid that trying to play hurts substantially, but don't let me get in the way of your continued generalizations.

The key that keeps what I stated from being a generalization is that I used the term "more people". If instead I had used a term like "all people" when I was discussing the merits of playing sports over just watching sports, then yes I would have made a generalization.
Obviously there are some people who cannot play for one reason or another. However, I would find it hard to believe that the majority of TV sports fans fall into that category.
