labmonkey,
How can you support Borders as they usurp your Second Amendment rights?

I even drink Coors Lite. Yes, I know I let my fellow gun owners down with every drink.

I used to use the library frequently but now find it inconvenient, due to traffic and location. The last time I was there, long ago, the parking was scarce, especially for handicapped. Would be nice if we had smaller branches for those just wanting something to read and maybe with a couple of computers.. These wouldn't fulfill every need but would be handy. I order my books online where they are delivered free and directly to my door. Actually, I could probably open my own branch library.

amazon.com + free shipping = win

library = free....and for a broke college kid it is worth circling the parking lot twice and sitting at a red light every once in awhile.

Borders's history section rocks.

Well, since my computer has suffered what my brother has termed "a catastrophic meltdown" I have been going almost daily to check emails and other things.
Before my computer died on me, I would go about two or three times a week for storytime or just to pick up a book or DVD or CD. I don't see any reason to buy a book or DVD that I just want to watch once.
As for Border's History section, I will freely admit that I don't go in there more than once or twice a year (way too expensive) but if it is Latin American History you are looking for, you should forget it. Like a lot of stores, Borders seems to think there are only two countries in Latin America (Mexico and Cuba) and that the only three people of interest are Emiliano Zapata, Che and Fidel Castro. Ugggh!!!
I agree with the parking assesment but overall, I don't think it is that bad if it is not summer. Once the pool opens, it is nearly impossible to get a spot sometimes.

We don't have cable tv, so we check out the HBO series that we'd miss otherwise. The price is right, and you get to see the whole season in a weekend!

Why does the poll add up to 97%?
password (anonymous) says…

Decimals.
But not those of the Dewey Decimal System.

Frequent use of the library = twice weekly
Meeting rooms are usually booked up.
