Gary Foster got his formal music education at Kansas University, and he's played around the world with big-name singers, Hollywood movie scores and popular TV shows.
Foster, who will perform this weekend as part of the KU Jazz Festival, is the focus of this week's Pulse Podcast. He talks about his long career as a Los Angeles studio musician, how the music scene has changed in L.A., and why he would still rather play improv jazz than anything else.
