Wayne, 87, and Jackie Marrs, 84, have been married 65 years and live at Meadowlark Estates. Wayne's advice: "People who say 'I love you' don't know what they're talking about. Real love is when you go through the tough times together and can still smile about it." Jackie's advice: "Being equal. Don't be 60-40. Be 50-50 in your plans that you have for each other in your life."

Eight talented Lawrence ladies performed Feb. 2 for the Dueling Divas fundraiser to benefit Theatre Lawrence. Competing Divas, from left, are Kristian Bucy, Hilary Morton, Kayla Motley, 2013 Diva winner Erica Fox, Rachel Black, Gail Trottier, Cathy Hamilton and Maggie Gremminger. The ladies’ professions range from bank managers to professional singers to vocal instructors.
