These fossils show a female flea that roamed the earth between 125 million and 165 million years ago. The fleas grew to be nearly an inch long and could have fed on the blood of dinosaurs.
"The Waiting Room: Lost and Found" is a mixed-media installation combining sculpture, sound and image. The exhibition features a waiting room and six tableaus that look at a particular health issue. Part of the dementia tableau is shown at right in foreground.

Lawrence resident Marguerite Perret is the lead artist on a project called "The Waiting Room: Lost and Found," which examines six health issues as they relate to women. The project is on display through March 16 at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library in Topeka. She is pictured in the domestic violence tableau.
