Between storms coming through from Osage and Shawnee County. This was shot facing West looking into Shawnee County on Queens Road and 6th Street.
This is the storm that went through NE Kansas on June 12, 2008. This tornado had been reported as on the ground east of Topeka. From my mother, Kathy Flory's house we had a pretty good view.

On June 12, 2008 the cloud tops from the storms out west came over Lawrence and I spotted the mammatus clouds and took several pictures of them. I zoomed in on a couple of shots including this one.
Boston's Paul Pierce hoists the Larry O'Brien Trophy. The Celtics crushed the Lakers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday in Boston, and Pierce was named MVP after the game. Pierce played at Kansas University from 1995 to 1998.
Kansas City's Mike Aviles follows through on a solo home run. Aviles hit his third homer Tuesday in St. Louis, and the Royals won, 2-1.
Willie Randolph looks on from the dugout during a recent Mets game in New York. Randolph was fired early Tuesday.
Kansas State coach Ron Prince watches the final moments of K-State's game against Missouri last year in Manhattan. After a 5-7 season in 2007, Prince loaded up on junior-college transfers - 19 new ones to be exact. The Wildcats' 29 roster spots held down by jucos are by far the most in the Big 12.
Boston's Paul Pierce, center, shoots over Los Angeles' Ronny Turiaf and Kobe Bryant. Pierce was named MVP of the NBA Finals after the Celtics defeated the Lakers, 131-92, in Game 6 on Tuesday in Boston.
Curt Garman, left, and Richard Looke hold hands as they look for a quiet spot to hold their wedding Tuesday at City Hall in San Francisco. County clerk offices opened their doors Tuesday to hundreds of gay and lesbian couples with appointments to secure marriage licenses and exchange vows on the first full day that same-sex nuptials were legal throughout California.
Bryan Schulte keeps watch over a sandbag levee holding back floodwaters from the Mississippi River on Tuesday in Burlington, Iowa. On the Illinois side of the river across from Burlington, a levee broke Tuesday morning south of Gulfport, Ill., forcing the closure of a bridge that connects the two cities.
Former Westar Energy Inc. Chief Executive Officer David Wittig, back center, leaves the Robert J. Dole U.S. Courthouse with his wife, Beth, front center, and his attorneys in this Sept. 12, 2005, file photo. An appeals court on Tuesday ruled that a two-year prison sentence in a personal loan case was appropriate; Wittig had served about one year before being released on appeal.
Jonah, 7, left, and Elijah Crumpton-Murray, 9, hoped to see Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics play against the Lakers in Los Angeles, but the NBA Finals game was sold out. They did, however, get to meet Matt Damon outside the Staples Center. Elijah and Jonah are the sons of Doug and Lisa Crumpton-Murray, Fresno, Calif., and the grandsons of Marlin and Nancy Harmony, Lawrence. Their aunt, Wendy Murray, Kansas City, Kan., submitted the picture.
