Kansas Association of Retired School Personnel members present facsimilie checks to Gov. Sebelius in the amounts of $6,040,000.00 and $1,096,000.00 representing volunteer hours provided in 2006. These checks represent the amount of statewide volunteer hours by KARSP members that were given back to the community. KARSP members include 127 Douglas County Association members who donated approximately 20,000 hours locally. For information on how to join the local DCARSP group call 843-4551.
