Services / Meet Mark Fenton and Sara Snow
Mark Fenton is a nationally recognized authority on public health issues and the need for community, environmental and public-policy initiatives to encourage more walking and bicycling. He serves as the health representative to the four-person executive committee of the Partnership for a Walkable America, and he has addressed a wide range of groups, from regional and national transportation and planning conferences, to professional engineering and safety organizations, to advocacy groups and public health educational conferences.
Fenton is one of the nation’s foremost experts on walking, and he’s an entertaining, persuasive and knowledgeable speaker on the topic. The former editor-at-large of Walking Magazine, Fenton now hosts the new PBS series “America’s Walking.”
Fenton is also a champion walker. From 1986 to 1990, he was a member of the U.S. national racewalking team five times. While training for the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Trials, he studied biomechanics and exercise physiology at the Olympic Training Center’s Sports Science Laboratory in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Fenton authored “The Complete Guide to Walking for Health, Weight Loss and Fitness,” and he appears frequently on broadcast and cable television news, health and lifestyle programming.

Green Living expert Sara Snow is a TV host and author who serves on the Board of Directors for the Organic Center, a nonprofit organization at the forefront of the organic movement.
Snow can be seen regularly in the pages of newspapers and magazines including the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Better Homes and Gardens, Natural Health and Woman’s Day. She also contributes to CNN.com LIVE with a regular segment called “Living Green with Sara Snow.”
Sara’s first book, “Sara Snow’s Fresh Living: The Essential Room-by-Room Guide to a Greener, Healthier Family and Home,” hit shelves in time for Earth Day 2009. It has been called “a fabulous book … practical, affirming and fresh” and “a must-read for every family searching for a greener footprint.”
While Snow continues development work on her next TV series, she travels the country speaking to groups about simple and effective ways for businesses, homes and communities to live in harmony with the environment.
