“Dance the Night Away” to the music of Kelley Hunt.
Get your tickets today for the gala event Friday night, March 20, 2009. From 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. you can enjoy live music and Maceli’s delicious appetizers as you dance the night away. Featured also are the Fabulous Uptowners with Kim Murphree.
“A tremendously talented singer/songwriter” from Kansas, Kelley Hunt will perform her music throughout the evening. Her “stellar voice and magnetic stage personality” delight audiences around the world as she offers a unique blend of blues, ballads, pop, and boogie-woogie piano.
To add to your enjoyment, the Lawrence Humane Society will host an art sale featuring works by local artists, including photography by Society board member Joan Noller, “Travels With Midge” photography by Society director Midge Grinstead, and works by Stefanie Stuever, Kami Brant, Mary Mitchell, and other talented area artists.
Tickets for “Dance the Night Away” are $25 each and may be purchased at the Lawrence Humane Society or ordered by mail (P.O. Box 651, Lawrence, KS 66044) or online at www.lawrencehumane.org. Tickets are limited and must be purchased prior to the event. All proceeds go to the Lawrence Humane Society animal shelter.
Only 300 tickets are available for this event, so get yours before they are all gone. Come prepared for a wonderful evening of music, dancing, art, and Maceli’s own culinary masterpieces. A cash bar will be available. And if the Jayhawks are playing that night in the NCAA Tournament, a big-screen TV will be on hand!
