Dave and Barbara Neff

David Neff and Barbara Siefker were married on January 20, 1963 in Greensburg, Indiana. They have lived in rural Douglas County since 1978.
After graduating from Purdue University, Dave served three years in the Army. He was a pilot for Trans World Airlines for 34 years before retiring in 2001. Barbara graduated from Indiana University and earned an MBA from the University of Kansas. She operated Neff Accounting and Computer Services until 2001.
Dave and Barbara have three children: Suzanne and husband Jerry Sundbye of Westminster, Colorado, Rob and wife Julie Neff of Lawrence, and Stacey and husband Terry Watts of Eudora. They have eleven grandchildren: Jaydon, Kara and Ryley Sundbye; David, Laura, Ryan and Aaron Neff; and George, TJ, Sarah and Luke Watts. The entire family celebrated the anniversary with a Western Caribbean cruise in December.



Marjorie and Robert Hedman

Robert and Marjorie Hedman, Lawrence, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
The couple were married January 18, 1948, in Midland, South Dakota.
They moved to Lawrence in 1968. Bob is retired from the USGS.
They lived in South Dakota, North Dakota, Virginia, and California before coming to Kansas.
They have two daughters, Jan Morace, Seattle, and Susan Reitz, Salina; nine grandchildren, Christopher Morace, Jeremy Morace, Jonathan Morace, Allyson Morace Cole, Cara Campion Payne, Kevin Campion, Becky Reitz, Sara Reitz Bloomfield, and Blake Reitz Wilson; and seven great-grandchilden, Roan and Ananda Morace, Owen, Watson and Emery Payne, Stella Cole, and Olivia Bloomfield.



Carl and Norma Evans

Carl (Mike) and Norma Evans, Rural Perry, will mark their 75th wedding anniversary, January 25th, with a card shower. No public celebration is planned.
Carl Evans and Norma Green were married January 25, 1938 at Topeka, KS. Norma graduated from Perry Rural High School and Carl graduated from Oskaloosa High School. They have lived in Jefferson County all of their married life.
Norma has always been a homemaker and Carl re- tired from farming, Quarry Crusher Operator and Road Grader Operator.
The Evans have two daughters, Deloris and Leeta of Perry, four grandchildren, Melody, Rick Angie and Dan, six great grandchildren, Michael, Dustin, Randy, Faith, Rhett and Thomas and one great great grandchild, Jovie.

Sack and Winters

Emily Charlotte Sack and Caleb Jackson Winters

Fred Sack and Michele Bergman along with Jack Winters and Rose Winters announce the engagement of their children, Emily Charlotte Sack and Caleb Jackson Winters, all of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Free State High school. She received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is pursuing a Masters in Public Health Nursing both from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is currently employed at Overland Park Regional Medical Center as an RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The future groom is a 2005 graduate of Free State. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Kansas and is currently employed at Corpus Christi Catholic School as a technology teacher.
The couple plan a June 8, 2013 wedding in Lawrence.


D’Asto and Seaman

Morgan Charles Seaman and Pilar Iona D’Asto

Pilar Iona D’Asto and Morgan Charles Seaman of Lawrence, KS, are happy to announce their marriage engagement. A nuptial mass is planned for May 11, 2013, at Corpus Christi Church with Father Mick Mulvaney officiating.
Pilar received her BA from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC, and a MA in Theatre (Drama Therapy) from Kansas State University. She is employed at the Elizabeth Layton Center for Mental Health in Ottawa, Kansas.
Morgan received his BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas and plans to pursue a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology at KU. He is employed at the O’Connell Youth Ranch in Lawrence, Kansas.
Miss D’Asto is the daughter of Joseph D’Asto of Darien, IL, and Ruth Ann Hall of Lawrence, KS. Mr. Seaman is the son of Rich and Roni Seaman of Carthage, MO.


Chapin and Jaques

Chris and Cris Chapin, announce the engagement of their daughter, Colby Taylor Chapin to Hayden Cotting Jaques, son of William and Beverly Jaques of Wenham, Massachusetts.
The future bride is a graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in metalsmithing and jewelry design from the University of Kansas in 2006 and is currently working for a jewelry startup company in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The future groom is a graduate of Milton Academy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard University in 2006 and is a commodity trader in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The couple is planning a June 15, 2013 wedding at the Circle S Ranch in Lawrence.


Heacock and Gleeson

Sam Gleeson and Megan Heacock

Megan Heacock and Sam Gleeson are happy to announce their engagement. Heacock is the daughter of Wayne and Lori Tilson of Lawrence, KS, and Brad and Patty Heacock of Lee’s Summit, MO. Gleeson is the son of Mark and Mary-Nell Gleeson of Lawrence, KS.
Heacock graduated from the University of Kansas with a major in Journalism in 2010. She was recently accepted into the School of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University.
Gleeson graduated from the University of Kansas with a major in Environmental Science in 2009. He was recently accepted into the School of Teacher Education at the University of Northern Colorado.
The couple resides in Fort Collins, CO. They plan for a June 2013 wedding at Burcham Park in Lawrence, KS.
