The future groom is a graduate of Eudora High School and attended Johnson County Community College. He is the Parts Manager at Laird Noller Ford in Lawrence, KS.
The couple plan a July 20, 2013 wedding in Hermann, MO.

Tom and Melody Volek of Lawrence, and Carlos and Mayra Castro of Matagalpa, Nicaragua are pleased to announce the engagement of their children Christopher Volek and Gema Ruby Castro.
The future groom earned an engineering degree from the University of Kansas in 2010 and is working for Bass Oil Production Company.
The future bride earned her engineering degree from Texas A&M College Station in 2010 and is working for Baker Hughes Oil Services.
They plan a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico this summer and will make Midland, Texas their home.

Philip Anderson and Patricia McDuffie were married on February 2, 1963 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence Kansas. After graduation from the University of Kansas, Phil took a job with IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY. While there, Pat finished her Bachelors degree and Phil his Masters degree. They returned to Lawrence in 1969 where he completed his Engineering doctorate and founded Kantronics, where he worked until 2001. She taught for the Lawrence School District and completed her masters and doctoral degrees before founding CTBI Business School. She sold that business and worked for the Kansas Board of Regents until her retirement in 2007. Phil and Pat have two children, daughter Rebecca and husband Randy Hewes of Norman OK and son Kenneth of Lawrence. They have granddaughters Carolyn and Kirsten Hewes.

Kelly Christine Warren and Adam Joseph Wessel were married on October 20, 2012 with a ceremony and reception at The Foundation Room located in the West Bottoms of Kansas City, Missouri. Kelly is the daughter of Robert Warren of Merriam, KS and Kathy Warren of Lenexa, KS. She received a B.S. in psychology from Kansas State University, a Master’s Degree in Education from Rockhurst University and currently serves as the High School Curriculum Coordinator for the De Soto School District. Adam is the son of Steve and Peg Wessel, Baldwin City, KS. He received a B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Kansas and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Baker University. He is an English instructor and head golf coach at Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, KS. After a honeymoon in Key West, the couple resides in Overland Park, KS.

Friends and family gathered at the Mustard Seed Church, on July 7, 2012, to celebrate the marriage of Nathan Hammer and Betsy Siess. The bride is the daughter of Virgil & Jackie Siess. The groom is the son of Gary & Julie Hammer. Bridesmaids were Emily Siess, Jamie Siess, Sierra Ronhovde, Mandy Prosser and Rachel Ecklund. The flower girl was Avianna Ecklund; assisted by Katelyn Hammer. Groomsmen were Micah Barclay, Sean Steinle, Quinn Wasson, Shawn Rebman and Isaac Willems. The reception was held at Spring Hill Suites. The bride is a
science teacher at Shawnee Heights High School in Topeka. The groom is a Film major at KU and works at KU Media Productions. The couple resides in Lawrence.

Karen Ebmeier and Carl Folsom, III were married on October 20, 2012 at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Lawrence. Father Matt Zimmerman officiated. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the parish hall. Karen is the daughter of Howard and Cathy Ebmeier, Lawrence, and the granddaughter of Herman & Evelyn Hallberg, Lawrence. Carl is the son of Jeanette Frevele, Kansas City, KS, and Carl Folsom, Jr., Tonganoxie, and the grandson of Joe & Mary Frevele, Tonganoxie, and Carl & Beverly Folsom, Stover, MO.
Karen’s sister Jill Ebmeier, Overland Park, KS, was Maid of Honor. Best man was David Reed, Waco, TX. Bridesmaids were Christina Lester, Paola, KS, and Angela Interiano, Kansas City, KS, who are the groom’s
sisters, and Sarah Graves, St. Paul, MN; Sandi Howard, Lakeland, FL; Kelcie Fincham, Augusta, GA. Groomsmen were Phil Shaw, Edwardsville, KS; Bill Folsom, Tonganoxie, KS; Kelley Sivits, Ifrane, Morocco; Brian Randel, Lawrence, KS; and Logan Cox, Lawrence, KS. Bride’s Assistant was Kelsey Lester, niece of the groom. Flower girls were Audrey & Bailey Lester, and Alani Interiano, nieces of the groom. Ringbearers were Kale Interiano and Riley Lester, nephews of the groom.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence Free State, a 2004 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Tonganoxie High School, a 2002 graduate of the University of Kansas, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.
Carl works for the Federal Public Defender in Muskogee, OK, and the couple lives in Wagoner, OK.

The future groom is a graduate of Marist High School, Chicago, IL. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Western Illinois, and is employed at LinkedIn as the Enterprise Relationship Manager. The couple is exchanging vows in Tuscany, Italy, in early October 2013, followed by a reception with friends & family on November 2, 2013, at Salvatore’s in Chicago, IL. The couple currently resides in Chicago, IL.
