Earl and Frances Sanford
Frances and Earl Sanford, Lecompton, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at home with their children and grandchildren.
The couple were married April 4, 1952, in Topeka.
Frances graduated from Lecompton Rural High School in 1949 and attended the first combined class of the Stormont-Vail (Christ’s Hospital) School of Nursing. She later worked for Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist for 40 years. She has taught piano for over 50 years. Earl graduated from Lecompton Rural High School in 1947 and attended Kansas State University. He worked for Pippert’s Automotive as a jobber salesman for 40 years.
They have two sons, Howard and wife, Barb, Lincoln, Neb., and Bret and wife Ruthann, Lecompton; a daughter, Janie McPherson and husband Matt, Lawrence; and four grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.

Christopher and Angela Hoffhines announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Hoffhines, all of McLouth, to Boone Heston, Oskaloosa.
The future bride is a 2008 graduate of McLouth High School. She is attending dental hygiene school at Johnson County Community College and will graduate this May. After graduation, she will work in Lawrence and Atchison.
The future groom is the son of John and Delia Heston, Oskaloosa. He is a 2008 graduate of Oskaloosa High School, is employed with Westar Energy, and is an active coach in the Oskaloosa school district.
The couple plan a June 2012 wedding in McLouth.

Terri Reintjes and Jim Fisher, Lawrence, and Beverly and Scott Hickey, Pearland, Texas, announce the engagement of their children, Sarah Anne Fisher and Joseph Michael Boll, both of Dallas.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Kansas University in 2006 and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2008. She is employed at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Midland High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2003 and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology in 2007, both from Texas Tech University. He is a microbiology doctorate candidate at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
The couple plan an Oct. 6, 2012, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.

The future bride is the daughter of Terry Herschell and Robert Wales, both of Lawrence. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in business administration, both from Baker University.
The future groom is the son of Vicki and Robert Mazza, both of Shawnee. He attended Kansas State University and manages a business in Shawnee.
The couple plan a May 6, 2012, wedding in Kansas City, Mo.

Dr. John Hill II and Debra Lee Wastell-Hill, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jillian Ariel Hill, to Robert Alan Geiger, both of Knoxville, Tenn.
The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in community health from Kansas University in 2009 and is employed with Lab Corporation of America.
The future groom is the son of Alan and Karen Geiger, Lewisburg, Pa. He is a graduate of Lewisburg High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Mansfield University in 2006, and a doctorate in chemistry from KU in 2011. He is a chemist with Oak Ridge National Lab.
The couple plan a Sept. 15, 2012, wedding at The Hilton President in Kansas City, Mo.

Lindsay O’Bryon, Lawrence, and Adam Linker, Fort Worth, Texas, were married July 2, 2011, at Stony Point Hall in Baldwin City, with the Rev. Mary Newberg Gale officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Marilynn O’Bryon, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Dan and Karen Linker, Fort Worth.
Maid of honor was Chelsea Braden. Best man was Michael Adams. Bridesmaids were Kelli Stout and Hayley Linker. Groomsmen were Casey Amundson and Ryan Strain. Greeters were Matt Argabright and Joni Warner. Guestbook attendants were Allison Stroh and Andrea Wolf. Bridal assistant was Anh Vu.
A reception followed at Stony Point Hall.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas University in 2007 and is a high school social studies teacher for the Irving (Texas) Independent School District.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Aledo (Texas) High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University in 2010 and is employed with Oncor Electric Delivery in Fort Worth.
The couple reside in Fort Worth.
