Georgia and Edwin Lehman, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a brunch with family and friends at Maceli’s.
Georgia Lorei and Edwin Lehman were married March 19, 1961, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ramona.
Both retired in 2003 from Dillons in Lawrence.
They have a son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Jackie, Charles Town, W. Va; and a daughter, Shelley Pickardt, and son-in-law, Greg, Overland Park; and six grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.
Kay and Jean Homolka, Eudora, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2700 Lawrence Ave.
The couple were married March 22, 1961.
Kay owned and operated K’s Tire Service in Lawrence until he retired in March 2008.
They have a two daughters, Terri Humbert and Jeanna Linzer, both of Eudora; a son, Dennis, Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Virginia and Bobby Williams, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Virginia Lee Pittman and Bobby Anderson Williams were married March 21, 1951, in Memphis, Tenn.
Bobby graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology and retired from E.I. DuPont in Tecumseh. Virginia graduated from Kansas University’s School of Education and retired from USD 497. She was a second grade teacher at Deerfield School.
They have three daughters, Betsy Ann Russell, Ann Arbor, Mich., Janice Lynn Allet, Palm Springs, Calif. and Vickie Lee Hester, Murrieta, Calif.; a son, Mark, San Diego; and three grandchildren.
Burke and Burnett
Michael and Donna Burke, Derby, announce the engagement of their daughter, Abrian Burke, to Josh Burnett, both of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 1997 graduate of Derby High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Kansas State University in 2001. She will be employed as the senior process improvement engineer at ICL Performance Products in Lawrence.
The future groom is the son of C. Bruce and Terry Burnett, Derby. He is a 1995 graduate of Derby High and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from K-State in 1999. He is employed as co-owner of Honor Distilling and is a territory manager for American Foodservice.
The couple plan an April 23, 2011, wedding in Wichita.
Robertson and Cromwell
Gary Robertson and Pam Robertson, along with Jerry and Joyce Cromwell, all of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Erin Robertson and Travis Cromwell, both of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. She is attending Neosho County Community College in Ottawa, and is a certified nursing assistant at Brandon Woods of Lawrence.
The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High and is employed at Jerry Cromwell Construction Company.

Pollock and Schwagerman
Howard and Linda Pollock announce the engagement of their son, Andrew Pollock, all of Lawrence, to Rachel Schwagerman, Kansas City, Kan.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School. He will attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City in the fall and begin the Urban Planning and Design program.
The future bride is the daughter of George and Jeanie Schwagerman, Lee’s Summit, Mo. She is a 2006 graduate of Lee’s Summit West High School. She will earn a bachelor’s degree in urban elementary education from UMKC in May and hopes to pursue teaching in the fall in the Kansas City area.
