Mariann and Alden Bradley, Eudora, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Oct. 9 at the family farm. The couple also will spend a week with their children and grandchildren in Branson, Mo.
Mariann Thomas and Alden Bradley were married Oct. 9, 1960, at Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church in Augusta, Ga.
Alden graduated from Lawrence High School in 1955. He retired from Farmland Industries after 36 years. He enjoys his farm and raising Hereford cattle. Mariann graduated from Richmond Academy in Augusta. She was a long distance telephone operator before her marriage. She has been a homemaker and also enjoys farm life.
They have two sons, Alden Jr. and wife Courtnay, Prairie Village, and Allen, Eudora; and a daughter, Debbie Grosdidier and husband Glen, Eudora; and three granddaughters.
Nina and Melvin Wehner, Eudora, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house and reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Holy Family Parish Hall, 820 Birch St., Eudora.
Nina Koci and Melvin Wehner were married Oct. 12, 1950, in Delia.
Melvin is a retired businessman.
They have two sons, Douglas and wife Ginger, and Gregory and wife Beth, all of Lawrence; a daughter, Karen Hull and husband David, Wamego; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.
Lisa Enns, Lincoln, Neb., and James Bender, Kansas City, Kan., both formerly of Lawrence, were married Sept. 18, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church, in Lincoln, with the Rev. Len Andyshak officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Mary Ann Enns, Lincoln.
The groom is the son of Mark and Heidi Bender, Kansas City, Kan.
Matrons of honor were Mae James and Maralee Bradley. Best man was Robert Bender. Bridesmaids were Renee Klitzke, Abigail Shepard and Naomi Nelson. Groomsmen were Matthew Bender, Billy Price, Adam Millikin and Ash Shadrick.

The bride is a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Ga., and will earn a master’s degree in music therapy from Kansas University in December. While in Lawrence, she taught piano lessons at Hume Music.
The groom is a graduate of Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Mo., and earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo.
The couple reside in Lenexa.
Mollie Winerock and Joseph Meyer, both of New York City, were married Sept. 4, 2010, in an outdoor wedding at the View in Piermont, N.Y., on the Hudson River. Officiant was Rabbi Renee Edelman.
The bride is the daughter of Susan Elkins and Jack Winerock, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Ronnie and Bruce Meyer, Armonk, N.Y.
Maid of honor was Emily Winerock. Best men were Scott Meyer and Adam Meyer. The groom a 2002 graduate of the University of Delaware and is the vice president of the Renatus Group, a New York real estate investment firm.
The couple reside in New York City.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in cellular biology from KU and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts School of Dental Medicine, and is a dentist in Topeka.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Chuck and Mary Loveland, Lawrence, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with an afternoon reception hosted by their children and their spouses on Aug. 1 at the South Park Gazebo.
Mary Ladesich and Chuck Loveland were married Sept. 5, 1970, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Overland Park.
Chuck has been a pediatrician in Lawrence since 1976, following graduation from Kansas University School of Medicine and completion of his residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Mary is completing her fifth term on the USD 497 Board of Education and coordinated youth sports programs in Lawrence for nine years.
The couple have a son, Doug and wife Amy, Overland Park; three daughters, Meredith Brown and husband Erik, Cincinnati, Morgan Robertson and husband Casey, Branson, Mo., and Aidan Koster and husband Chris, Great Bend; and eight grandchildren.
