The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Lawrence High School, a 2009 graduate of Emporia State University and is an elementary physical education teacher for Manhattan-Ogden USD 383.
The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Manhattan High School, a May graduate of Emporia State University, and is an elementary physical education teacher for Geary County USD 475.

The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from Kansas State University in 2008, a Master of Business Administration from K-State in May, and is an analyst for internal communications at ConocoPhillips in Houston.
The future groom is the son of Fred and Michelle Betzen, Olathe. He is a 2004 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from K-State in 2007, and plans to complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from K-State in May 2011.
The couple plan a May 28, 2011, wedding at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Shawnee.
Lloyd and Carolyn Wulfkuhle, Lecompton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family with a soup dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Stull United Methodist Church Faith and Friendship Center, 1596 E. 250 Road.
The couple were married Nov. 23, 1960, in Lawrence.
The celebration will be hosted by their children Ron and Margie Wulfkuhle, Omaha, Neb., and Rita and Chris Lesser and David and Shelly Wulfkuhle, all of Lecompton.
They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

J.C. and Mary Lou Brown, Baldwin City, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday with a family dinner.
J.C. Brown and Mary Lou Stuke were married Nov. 29, 1950, at St. James Church in Wetmore.
Their children and spouses are Dan and Sheryl Brown, Laura and Greg Torneden, and Rob and Michelle Brown, all of Overbrook; Joe Brown, Beaumont, Texas; David and Twilla Brown, and Mark and Sherri Brown, all of Baldwin City; and Anthony and Susie Brown, Eudora.
They have 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
