Shelby and William Pringle
Shelby Dawn Stice and 1st Lt. William Jared Pringle, both of Eudora, were married July 17, 2010, at the U.S. Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colo., with Chaplain Robert Browning officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Sheila Stice, Eudora, and Danny Stice, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Timothy and Brigitte Pringle, Eudora.
Maid of honor was Melissa Gade. Best man was 1st Lt. David Mauer. Bridesmaids were Jessica Peterson, Melissa Schlodder and Leanna Newcomer. Groomsmen were 1st Lt. Matt Kohles and 1st Lt. Peter Bozynski and Aaron Westerhouse. Honorary attendants were Kimberley Miller and Valerie Pringle.
A reception was given at the Phantom Canyon Brewing Company, Colorado Springs, Colo.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Eudora High School. She earned bachelor’s degrees in applied behavioral science and sociology from Kansas University in 2008.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Eudora High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in military strategic studies with a minor in Russian language from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2008. He graduated from Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training, 14th Flying Training Wing in July from Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.
The couple will reside in Charleston, S.C.

Samantha Snyder, Topeka, and Josh Longbottom, Manhattan, were married Oct. 10, 2010, at the Snyder Farm in Berryton, with the groom’s father, the Rev. Don Longbottom officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Brock Snyder, Berryton, and Sheryl Snyder, Topeka.
The groom is the son of the Rev. Don Longbottom, Chicago, and Sally Rein’l-Bautista, Tucson, Ariz.
Maid of honor was Emily Heronemus. Best man was Jojo Longbottom. Bridesmaids were Sheryl Snyder, mother of bride, and Kelley Rushing. Groomsmen were Jon Budd and Brock Snyder II. Readers were Jordan Locke and Wayne Corn. Ring bearer was Luke Budd. Flower girl was Emma Galesic. Sunflower girls were Connor Locke, Helena Lawrence, Evan Wetzel and Eliza Wetzel.
A reception followed at the Snyder Farm.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Topeka High School and is the community outreach coordinator for Family Promise of Lawrence.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Manhattan High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in public speaking from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2003, and a Masters of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in 2006. He is the associate pastor for Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Berryton.

Emilie Burdette and Terrol Palmer, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Hannelore Burdette, Wichita. She is a 1998 graduate of Belle Plaine High School and earned degrees in journalism and law from Kansas University in 2002 and 2005. She is an assistant attorney general in the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.
The future groom is the son of Karen Bond, Sylvan Grove, and the late Robert Palmer. He is a 1997 graduate of Lucas-Luray High School and earned a geography degree from KU in 2002. He is the GIS Analyst II for Douglas County.

George William and Margaret Louise O’Brien, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today with an open reception starting at noon at Helen’s Hilltop in Tonganoxie.
Margaret Hyatt and George O’Brien were married Nov. 5, 1960, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
George graduated from Tonganoxie High School and retired from the U.S. Navy and Sears. Margaret graduated from McLouth High School and is a homemaker.
The couple have a son, George Jr., Lawrence, and two grandchildren.

The future bride is a graduate of Wathena High School and Kansas University, and is a preschool teacher at Head Start Community Children’s Center in Lawrence.
The future groom is the son of Leonard LaMont, Gering, Neb., and Carol Bruning, Harveyville. He is a graduate of Mission Valley High School and Independence Community College and is employed by Douglas County.
The couple plan a March 12, 2011, wedding at the First Baptist Church in Wathena.

The future groom is the son of Steve Robson, Lawrence, and Theresa and Charles Cates, Eudora. He is a 2002 graduate of Eudora High School and is employed with Ace Bail Bonds, Inc. in Lawrence.
