Jill and Ryan Stueve
Jill Elizabeth Hoffman and Ryan Loyal Stueve, both of Lawrence, were married Nov. 7, 2009, at Abe and Jake’s Landing in Lawrence, with Judge Deanell Tacha officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Sarah Hoffman, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Linda and Jim Briden, Topeka, and the late Mark Stueve.
Matron of honor was Kimberly Rosel. Maid of honor was Janell Hoffman. Best man was Zach Parr. Bridesmaids were Shahla Kraby, Michelle Ruettinger, Amy Adams, Abigail Sharpe and Emily Lilo. Groomsmen were Josh Stueve, Andy Otto, Paul Hoffman, Ian Hedge, Alexander Garrett and Kris Losure. Ringbearer was Andrew Stueve.
A reception was also given at Abe and Jake’s Landing.
The bride is a graduate of Free State High School. She earned a fashion design and merchandising degree from College of Alameda, Calif. She currently works at Framewoods Gallery, and plans to start an alterations, special project and custom clothing business.
The groom is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School in Topeka. He is a graduate of Massage Therapy Training Institute in Kansas City, Mo. He is currently managing Mr. Goodcents, and attending Johnson County Community College for a graphic design degree.
The couple reside in North Lawrence.

Robert George and Marcella Kay Gorden, Perry, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Buck Creek Schoolhouse.
The couple were married June 17, 1960.
They have four daughters, Suzanne M. Ferry, Nanette K. Zolkiewicz, Roberta J. Pokphanh and Claudia R. King; a son, James L.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Robert and Hazel Meggison
Robert and Hazel Meggison, Overbrook, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 19.
The couple were married June 19, 1960, in Centerville, Iowa. Both are retired and have lived in Overbrook for the past 40 years.
They have two daughters, Susan Smith, San Diego, and Sheila Meggison, Lawrence; two sons, Pat and Mike, both of Topeka; and four grandchildren, Meghan and Sean Smith, and Drew and Lane Meggison.

Ashley Huerter and Fredrik Josefsson
Martin and Leslie Huerter, and Beth and Marshall Kelley, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Huerter, all of Lecompton, to Fredrik Josefsson, Gothenburg, Sweden. Ashley and Fredrik have been living in Sweden for the past 11 months and will return to Kansas in July.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School. She earned an associate degree from Kansas University, and a Montessori early childhood education degree from the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies.
The future groom is the son of Håkan and Ann Josefsson, Gothenburg. He earned a mechanical high school degree from MTG in Gothenburg, and was a group sergeant of the Swedish Military from 2006 to 2007.
The couple plan an October 2010 wedding in Lecompton.

The future bride is a graduate of Litchfield High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe in May 2009.
The future groom is a graduate of Free State High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from MidAmerica Nazarene University, also in May 2009.
The couple plan an Aug. 6, 2010, wedding at Mustard Seed Church in Lawrence.

Steve and Gina Steinbach announce the engagement of their daughter, Marisa Steinbach, all of Lawrence, to Dr. Bob Gatti, St. Louis.
The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Free State High School. She attended Kansas State University, earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2009, and is employed at a dental office in Dallas.
The future groom is the son of Dan and Karen Gatti, St. Louis. He is also a 2009 graduate of UMKC School of Dentistry and is an endodontics resident at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
The couple plan an Oct. 9, 2010, wedding at Hawthorne House in Parkville, Mo.
