Kristen E. Jarboe, Lawrence, and Cordeus D.M. Anderson, Osawatomie, were married Jan. 2, 2010, at First Christian Church, in Lawrence, with the Rev. Chad Donohoe officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Anne Jarboe, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Earnest and Gloria Anderson, Osawatomie.
Maid of honor was Rachel Elwell. Best man was Greg McMullen. Bridesmaids were Kelly Reynolds, Ciara Anderson, Kerri Kelley and Amanda Painter. Groomsmen were Kyle Gieber, Derrick Solomon, Andrew Bush and Stephone Robinson. Candlelighters were Kim Nicholson and Amanda McQuin. Guestbook attendant was Morgan McMichael. Program attendant was Kim Begert. Gift attendant was Lisa Turner. Coat attendant was Erika Klosterhoff. Bride’s personal attendant was Leah Henry. Scripture reader was Daniel Jarboe. The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned bachelor’s degrees in English and journalism at Kansas University in 2007, and is an assistant managing editor at Allen Press.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Osawatomie High School. He attended Ottawa University and graduated with honors from Pinnacle Career Institute in 2008. He is employed by Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a blood chemistry technician and by Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Ottawa.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Michael and Lisa Tiernan, Delray Beach, Fla., and Charles and Sheryl Ranson, Tallahassee, Fla., announce the engagement of their children, Elizabeth Whitaker Tiernan and Alexander Hunter Ranson, both of New York City.
The future bride is a graduate of Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, N.J., and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She is a director of merchandise planning at Polo Ralph Lauren.
The future groom is a graduate of Free State High School in Lawrence and also of the University of North Carolina. He is employed by Credit Suisse, working in the area of Leveraged Finance Capital Markets.
The couple plan an April 24, 2010, wedding at the First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach in Florida.

The future bride is the daughter of Dr. Tom and Jane Spahn, Carmel, Ind. She is a 2004 graduate of Carmel High School. She earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and international studies from Loyola University Chicago in 2008, and will complete a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis in May.
The future groom is also the son of the late Steve Thomas. He is a 2001 graduate of Eudora High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in theater from Emporia State University in 2005.
The couple plan an Oct. 23, 2010, wedding at St. John’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis.

The future groom is the son of Vicki Vormehr, Lawrence, and the late Stephen Vormehr. He is a 1999 graduate of Free State High School and a 2004 graduate of Johnson County Community College.
The couple own a retail boutique in Los Angeles.

The future groom is the son of Ronald and Sandra Meyer, St. Louis. He is a 1996 graduate of Parkway West High School in Ballwin, Mo. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of South Alabama in 2002 and a master’s degree in special education from KU in 2008. He is a teacher and baseball coach at Free State High School.

The couple plan a June 5, 2010, wedding at Spirit Lake in Perry.
