Olds and Jamison
Heather Michelle Olds and Dustin Michael Jamison, both of Overland Park, were married Sept. 5, 2009, at Loose Park’s Laura Conyer Smith Municipal Rose Garden in Kansas City, Mo., with Peter Perme officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Teresa Olds, Lawrence, and the late Michael Olds.
The groom is the son of Terrie Smith, Three Rivers, Texas, and Michael Jamison, Claremore, Okla.
Matron of honor was Tammy Ledbetter. Best man was Arnie Hart. Bridesmaids were Carley McGinnis, Jasmyn Smith and Hannah Olds. Groomsmen were Chad Jamison, Jayson Smith and Nathan Olds. Ringbearer was Jake Ledbetter.
A reception was given at Boulevard Brewing Company in Kansas City, Mo.
The couple reside in Overland Park.
O'Neill and Morlan
Bridget O’Neill, Amherst, N.H., and Clif Morlan, Bloomington, Ill., formerly of Lawrence, were married July 10, 2010, in the backyard of the bride’s parents home in Amherst, with Justice of the Peace Sara Morrow officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Faye O’Neill, Amherst.
The groom is the son of Larry and Joyce Morlan, Bloomington, Ill., also formerly of Lawrence.
Bridesmaids were Kelly O’Neill, Kathryn Norris, Liz Perotti and Stacy Peterson. Groomsmen were Adam Bayliss, Reed Johnson and Roy Patrick.
A reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride earned a doctorate in entomology from the University of Illinois and is completing the last four months of her post-doctoral position in Dublin, Ireland.
The groom attended Lawrence public schools through ninth grade before moving to Missoula, Mont. He earned a double degree in literature and elementary education from the University of Montana. After a year’s leave of absence from teaching to also live in Dublin, he has resumed his teaching career in Lexington, Ill.
The couple temporarily reside in Bloomington.
Fullerton and Blumer
Renee Fullerton, Lawrence, and Bryan Blumer, Colorado Springs, Colo., were married Aug. 14, 2010, at Blue Skies Inn in Manitou Springs, Colo., with the Rev. Nori Rost officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Marilynn Fullerton, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Mike and Barbara Blumer, Colorado, Springs.
Matron of honor was Angela Pittenger. Bridesmaid was Summer Eglinski. Reception toasts were led by Heather Blumer.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Free State High School. She earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism and biology at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004 and is studying for a master’s degree in public health administration at the University of Arizona.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Mitchell High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the MU in 1998 and is studying for respiratory therapy certification in Tucson, Ariz.
The couple reside in Tucson.
Willhite and Laing
Kristi Willhite and Clint Laing, both of Lawrence, were married July 9, 2010, in a backyard garden patio in Lawrence, with the Rev. Don Mueller officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Martin and Janice Burik, Ottawa.
The groom is the son of the late James and Lenora Laing.
Best man was Tom Laing. Maids of honor were Katie Young, Betsy Willhite and Sangeetha Kelly. Flower girl was Annie Young. Vocalists were Betsy Willhite and Katie Young. Pianist was Susan Ralston.
The bride is a graduate of Ottawa High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Baker University and a master’s degree at Kansas University and is an English teacher at Southwest Junior High School.
The groom is a graduate of Topeka High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from KU and a master’s degree from Baker University, and works for HMS in Topeka.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
Ralph and Judith Tanner, Baldwin City, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 28 at 1201 Ninth St., Baldwin City.
Judith Berry and Ralph M. Tanner were married Aug. 27, 1960, in Birmingham, Ala.
Ralph is the former president of both Birmingham Southern College and Baker University and a former member of the Kansas House of Representatives. Judith is active in several clubs and philanthropic organizations in the area. The couple enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
They have a son, Clay, Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Susanne Smith and husband Mark, Wichita, and Caroline Tanner, Baldwin City; and four grandchildren.

Krug and Benda
Lydia Krug, Lawrence, and John Benda, Atwood, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Kurt and Tamara Krug, and Cheryl Krug-Laskey, all of Lawrence. She is a 2006 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kansas University in May and is currently doing advertising sales for Blue Sky Green Earth magazine and working for Marks Jewelers, both in Lawrence.
The future groom is the son of Donald and Sarah Benda, Atwood. He is a 2003 graduate of Atwood High School and earned an associate’s degree from McCook Community College in McCook, Neb., in 2005. He moved to Lawrence in 2005 to attend KU, where he is pursuing a business degree. He also is the music director and youth pastor at New Life in Christ Church in Lawrence.
The couple plan a Sept. 25, 2010, wedding at the North Lawrence Christian Church in Lawrence.
Leverich and Craig

The future bride is a graduate of Mill Valley High School in Shawnee. She attended Kansas University and Johnson County Community College and will earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing in December.
The future groom is a graduate of Baldwin High School and also attended JCCC. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Cleveland Chiropractic College and is currently studying for a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine at the college.
