Robert and Michelle Babcock, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Bianca Babcock, Los Angeles, to Chris Labrador, Kennewick, Wash.
The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Kansas University and studied theater and film. She is the office production coordinator for the reality television company Magical Elves Inc., a stand-up comedienne and humor writer.
The future groom is the son of Santiago and Jane Labrador, New Kensington, Pa. He is a 1998 graduate of Valley High School in New Kensington and earned a marketing management degree from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., in 2002. He is a senior professional sales representative for Shire Pharmaceuticals in Kennewick.
The couple plan an Oct. 16, 2010, wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Vince and Sue Turco, Parker, Colo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Turco, to Clint Morgan, both of Highlands Ranch, Colo.
The future bride, a graduate of Colorado State University, has bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology and a minor in history. She is a real estate agent and foreclosure consultant in the Denver Tech Center.
The future groom is the son of Larry and Theresa Morgan, Lawrence. He graduated with highest distinction from Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and earned a master’s degree in mechatronics systems engineering from the University of Denver. He is a certified principle engineer at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company at the Waterton facility.
The couple plan a June 5, 2010, wedding in Castle Rock, Colo.

Sheryl Adams and Matthew Brock were married May 30, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Jim Carter officiating.
Maids of Honor were Jane Adams and Mary Adams. Best man was Tomas Brock. Bridesmaids were Abi Copeland, Kristi Fanger, Emily Hoger and Joelle May. Groomsmen were Robert Adams, James Copeland, J.C. Carter, Todd Kulage and Tyler Wynne.
The bride is the daughter of Craig and Susan Adams, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Skip and Lori Brock, Mt. Vernon, Mo.
A reception was given at the Adams Alumni Center at Kansas University.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Rolla Senior High School in Rolla, Mo. She earned a bachelor’s degree in health science from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., in 2008. She is completing a master’s degree in administrative studies, with an emphasis in health care administration, from Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. She is the registration coordinator at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas in Pittsburg.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Camdenton High School in Camdenton, Mo. He earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2005 and a master’s degree in education in 2007, both from Truman State. He is an assistant basketball coach and the head golf coach for Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg.
The couple reside in Pittsburg.

The bride is the daughter of Allen and Terri Rockhold, Baldwin City.
The groom is the son of Mike DeShon and Sue Mautino-DeShon, Plattsburg, Mo.
Maid of honor was Amanda Anderson. Best man was Mike DeShon. Bridesmaid was Katie Broyles. Groomsmen was Sam Misasi. Flower girl was Layne Ayers. Ringbearer was Gage DeShon. Candlelighters were Elizabeth and Bryce Hadl. Ushers were Nick Rockhold and Dan Brown. Soloist was Travis Marvin. Reception attendants were Cindy Hadl, Pam Sheaffer, Melissa DeShon and Tiffany Mautino.
A reception was given at Kanwaka Township Hall in Lawrence.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Baldwin High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Emporia State University in December 2008.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School and is a fourth-year apprentice for the Local No. 2 Sheet Metal Union. He is employed by Stadium Sheet Metal in Raytown, Mo.
The couple reside in Lathrop, Mo.
