Adriane Rachelle Wiltse and David Michael Lindquist, both of Midland, Texas, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Ed and Lisa Wiltse, Ulysses. She is a 2003 graduate of Thomas-Moore Prep in Hays and earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology at Pittsburg State University in 2007. She is a plastics engineer at Western Container in Midland.
The future groom is the son of John and Ginna Lindquist, Tonganoxie. He is a 2003 graduate of Tonganoxie High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in technology in 2007 and a master’s degree in engineering technology in 2008, both from Pittsburg State. He is a construction project manager at Ref-Chem LP in Odessa, Texas.
The couple plan an Oct. 10, 2009, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Max Backlund and Elisa Gill

Steven and Adriane Gill, Heber, Utah, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elisa Gill, Provo, Utah, to Max Backlund, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Lawrence High School and plans to complete a human development degree at Brigham Young University in April 2010.
The future groom is the son of John and Madalyn Backlund, Pleasant Grove, Utah. He is a 2005 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and fulfilled a two-year LDS Church mission to Argentina. He is a student at BYU majoring in English and plans to attend law school.
The couple plan a Nov. 19, 2009, wedding in the LDS Oquirrh Mountain Temple in Salt Lake City.

Steve Chandlee, Lawrence, and Lisa Chandlee, Blue Springs, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nina Chandlee, to Jeremy Welch, both of Leavenworth.
The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washburn University in May and is employed by the Leavenworth school district.
The future groom is the son of Glen and Dora Welch, Leavenworth. He is a 2003 graduate of Leavenworth High School and is a correctional officer for the state of Kansas at Lansing Correctional Facility.
The couple plan a Nov. 14, 2009, wedding at The Rock of Ages Chapel in Leavenworth.

Heather Falley and Daniel Bahnmaier, both of Lawrence, were married June 6, 2009, at The Rock of KC in Kansas City, Mo., with the Rev. Rick Burcham officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Diane Falley, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Mark and Hazel Bahnmaier, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Candice Lavalette. Best man was Matt Bahnmaier. Bridesmaids were Roxanne Baker, Bridget Wood, Jessica Shirk, Cheryl Speake and Jeanetta Falley. Groomsmen were Brandon Herschell, Jeremy Shockley, Mike Cloud, Dustin Vantuyl and Joe Corcoran. Ringbearer was Mason Bahnmaier. Candlelighters were Sammi Hughes and Tara Price. Ushers were Brandon Falley, Shane Lavalette, Justin Wood and Kevin Haun.
A reception followed at The Rock of KC.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oral Roberts University in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baker University in 2007.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School.

Kimberly Dawn Norris, Paola, and Matthew Jones, Lawrence, were married Sept. 18, 2009, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. John Schmeidler officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Eveline Minard Keeton, Paola, and the late Clarence Minard.
The groom is the son of Albert and Juanita Jones, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Faith Hibschle. Best man was Michael Pablo Jones. Bridesmaids were Kassidi Norris, Tammie Bell and Darcey Tolbert. Groomsmen were Jordan Romero, Lionel Romero and Moises Jones. The bride was given away by her son, Caylor Norris. Ushers were Brent Cahwee and Zachary Minard. Flower girl was Jocelyn Cahwee. Ringbearers were D.J. Foster and A.J. Cahwee.
A reception followed at St. John’s.
The bride graduated from Paola High School and attended Johnson County Community College. She is a corrections officer for Douglas County Youth Services.
The groom graduated from Lawrence High School and attended Haskell Indian Nations University. He is a corrections officer for Douglas County Youth Services.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Sarah Marlow, Lawrence, and Cody Wamsley, Wichita, were married June 6, 2009, at the bride’s grandparent’s house in Meadow Vista, Calif., with the Rev. Phyllis Stutzman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Brian and Laura Marlow, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Joan Wareing-Wamsley, Wichita, and the late Charles “Dwight” Wamsley.
Maid of honor was Annie Kettle. Best man was Tim Cushing. Bridesmaids were Alexa Calfee, Lynn Yoder, Kristin Flor and Melissa Gerlach. Groomsmen were Adam Gasper, Austin Waring, Ty Lightner and David Hilton. Ushers were Eric Marlow and Ryan Halsey. Halsey was also the photographer. Coordinator was Glen Stansberry. Reader was Chelsea Wamsley.
A reception was given at the Auburn Country Club in Auburn, Calif.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2006 and a master’s degree in education in 2007, both from Kansas University. She is a second-grade teacher in Gilbert, Ariz.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Wichita Collegiate School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business in 2004 and a juris doctorate in 2008, both from KU. He is studying for a Master’s of Law degree in intellectual property law at George Washington University.
The couple reside in Mesa, Ariz.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Merilee Dymacek, Eudora.
The groom is the son of Fernando and Mireya Andrade, Tabasco, Mexico.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Eudora High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in photography from Kansas State University. She is a photographer for Lifetouch Studios.
The groom is a graduate of Tabasco High School and earned a degree in languages and software programming from Cecati Community College. He is a general manager for Boston Market.
The couple reside in Overland Park.

Anniversary

McDow

Donald G. and Roberta J. McDow

Donald G. and Roberta J. McDow, Lawrence, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September with an Alaskan cruise and visit to Denali National Park.
The couple were married on Sept. 9, 1949, at Westport Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Mo.
They and their three children came to Lawrence in 1958 and opened the Ben Franklin store. Don later had the Don McDow Insurance Agency Inc., which he operated for 30 years. He retired in 1995, while Roberta became active in real estate.
Their children are Richard “Rick,” Suzanne and David Nutt, all of Lawrence, and Deborah and Mark Miller, Kansas City, Mo.

Anniversary

Chase

Kelly and Michael Chase, Lawrence, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at 4 p.m. today at Lawrence Free Methodist Church.
The couple were married Oct. 13, 1984, in Raytown, Mo.
Kelly is a legal administrative specialist with the Social Security Administration. Mike is a pre-press operator with Printing Solutions Inc.
They have two sons, Dennis Miller and wife Angie, Eudora, and Cameron, Lawrence; two daughters, Ashley and Whitney, both of Lawrence; and six grandchildren, Josiah, Haley, Malia, Isaiah, Carson and Alyssa.
The couple requests no gifts.

The Rev. Rex and Shirley Rictor

The Rev. Rex and Shirley Rictor, Edna, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 at the First Assembly of God, 126 E. Locust, Independence.
Rex Rictor and Shirley McIntire, were married on Oct. 10, 1959, in Scott City.
Rex attended Scott City High School and Central Bible College. He is the senior pastor at the First Assembly of God in Independence. Shirley attended Scott City High School, is a homemaker and works beside her husband in the ministry.
They have three daughters, Twila Lampke and Rexanna Schneider and husband James, all of Eudora, and Evonna James and husband the Rev. Ron, Pomona; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
