The future groom is the son of John Swenson, Garden City, and Lori Clark, Lawrence. He is a graduate of Free State High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in education, with an emphasis in athletic administration, both from William Woods University. He is a property claims adjuster with Farmers Insurance in Olathe.
The couple plan a July 17, 2010, wedding, at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Mo.

The future bride is a 2002 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and a 2005 graduate of Arizona State University. She plans to graduate from Kansas University School of Medicine in May and pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology.
The future groom is the son of Steven and Anne Lobell, Topeka. He is a 2002 graduate of Washburn Rural High School and a 2006 graduate of Kansas State University. He also plans to graduate from KU School of Medicine in May and pursue a career in anesthesiology.

She is an account underwriter for Farmers Insurance in Olathe.
The future groom is the son of David and Carol Pacey, Manhattan. He is a 2002 graduate of Manhattan High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from KU, in 2006, and is studying for a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, also from KU.
The couple plan a May 22, 2010, wedding at Circle S Ranch in Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of Kazem Naderi and Marzie Salarie, Portland, Ore. He is a graduate of Tigard High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in social science from Western Oregon University, a master’s degree in sociology, from Portland State University, and is a doctoral student in sociology at KU.
The couple plan an April 30, 2010, wedding at The Eldrige Hotel in Lawrence.

Kateena Kay Lukkes, Tyndall, S.D., and William Schuyler Kennedy II, Lawrence, were married Oct. 10, 2009, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tyndall, with the Rev. Sandy Aakre officiating.
The bride is the daughter of LeWayne and Pam Lukkes, Tyndall.
The groom is the son of Diane Kennedy, Lawrence, and the late William S. Kennedy.
Maid of honor was Andria Marquardt. Best man was Chris Aragon. Bridesmaids were Suzanne Toms and Janet Kennedy. Groomsmen was Cody Lukkes and Christopher Kennedy. Junior bridesmaids were Megan and Jeni Schmidt. Ringbearer was Lucas Kennedy-Eker. Flower girls were Hadley Marquardt and Madison Kennedy.
A reception was at Tyndall (S.D.) Community Building.
The bride is a graduate of Bon Homme High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of South Dakota and a paramedic certification from Avera McKennan School of EMS.
The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended Kansas University.

The bride is the daughter of Robert Day and Gwen Beegle, Easton, Md.
The groom is the son of Steven and Cynthia Wedel, Abilene.
Maid of honor was Arden Day. Best man was David Duer. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Litton and Robyn Dipman. Groomsmen were Travis Litton and Kyle Reynolds. Bridal attendants were Lisa Martinez, Allison Kauffman, Rachel Kennedy and Hannah Pitsenberger. Ushers were Kyle Klassen, Brad Chindamo and Thad Reynolds. Junior groomsman was Brody Litton.
A reception followed at the Estate.
The bride is a graduate of Topeka West High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Washburn University and a master’s degree in management from Baker University. She is a branch manager at Central National Bank in Lawrence.
The groom is a graduate of Abilene High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Emporia State University. He is the Lawrence market manager at Landmark National Bank.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Marti and Mike Frost, Lawrence, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Nov. 20-22 with their family in Branson, Mo.
The couple were married Nov. 28, 1969, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.
Mike has worked for the city of Lawrence in the sanitation department for more than 20 years. He also works as a grain truck driver for Schaake Farms. Marti has worked for Kansas Secured Title for 12 years.
They have two daughters, Jacque Underwood and husband Michael, Eudora, and Jenny Leming and husband Michael, Lawrence; a son, Jamie and wife Cheri, Edgerton; and five grandchildren.
