Diane Rebecca Henderson, Amarillo, Texas, and Michael John Patrick Hazel, Lawrence, were married Aug. 22, 2009, at Claxton Farm in Asheville, N.C., with the Revs. John Gingerich, grandfather of the groom, and Patrick Hazel, uncle of the groom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Genette Henderson, Asheville.
The groom is the son of Steve Hazel, Mission Hills, and Robin Gingerich, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Anne Lacy. Best man was Jonas Swartz. Bridesmaids were Lauren Brown-Brooks, Mary Patterson-Broome, Kate DeWitt, Emily Fuller, Sara Hazel, Jenni Gleason-Henderson and Lauren Young. Groomsmen was Ty Amass, Ershad Elahi, Todd Wilkins, Aaron Goldhamer, Mark Hecker, Ryan Henderson and Palmer Hoyt.
A reception followed at the Claxton Farm.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Amarillo High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, N.C., in 2005. She is a third-year student at Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Free State High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University, Durham, N.C., in 2004, and a juris doctor in 2008 from Georgetown University Law School. He recently completed a judicial clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and will be an associate with the law firm Wilmer Hale in Washington, D.C.
The couple reside in Washington, D.C.

Jordan Ferguson and Carl Lisher, both of Lawrence, were married June 27, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, in Lawrence, with the Rev. Tom Brady officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kent Ferguson and Jackie Ferguson, both of Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Mel Jr. and Charlene Lisher, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Hilary Ferguson. Best man was Chad Lisher. Bridesmaids were Candice Cesare, Rachelle Saathoff, Renae Saathoff, Kelsi Bailey, Bailey Harberg and Katy McConnell. Groomsmen were Brett Lisher, Jack Bell, Nick Walters, Ryan Eoannou, Jackson Ferguson and Taylor Martin. Ushers were Michael Lisher, Johnny Rathbun and Brett McBride. Readers were Kate Scaletty, Mandy Lisher and Sarah Heider. Candlelighters were Jessica Ely and Leslie Kirkpatrick. Guestbook attendant was Jayme Lisher. A reception was given at Abe & Jake’s Landing in Lawrence.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a business marketing degree, with a concentration in strategic communications, from Kansas University in 2008 and is employed by a medical practice in Overland Park.
The groom is also a 2004 graduate of Lawrence High. He earned an associate degree in respiratory therapy from Washburn University in May and is a respiratory therapist at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
The couple reside in Overland Park.

The bride is the daughter of Don Cunningham and Vicki Palmer, both of Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Bill and Denise Curnes, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Katelyn Curnes. Best men were Clarke and Luke Cunningham. Bridesmaids were Layci Kuder, Katie Cunningham and Rachel Hawkins. Groomsmen were Dan McDowell, Nathan Hostetter and Justin Bloom. Junior bridesmaids were Mattie and Ellie Beers. Ringbearers were Sam and Stephen Curnes. Flower girls were Montana and Ella Haas. The groom is also a 2005 graduate of Lawrence High. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from KU in May and is employed by Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kan.

The bride is the daughter of J.D. and Nancy Parr, Baldwin City.
The groom is the son of Don and Kim Ammons, Vancouver, Wash.
Maid of honor was Ellie Parr. Best man was Don Ammons, father of groom. Bridesmaids were Kara Bridges and Allison Ammons. Groomsmen were Jimmy Dunford and Randy Ammons.
Flower girls were Jillian and Jacklyn Markway. Music was provided by James and Emily Galbraith.
