Donna and Bob Saile

A card shower is planned to honor the 50th wedding anniversary of Bob and Donna Saile, Baldwin City. Cards may be sent to 227 E. 1250 Road, Baldwin City, KS66006.
Bob Saile and Donna Cline were married Feb. 5, 1959, in Lawrence.
Bob retired from farming and Donna retired from Baldwin City school district.
The couple have two sons, Steven and wife Debbie, and Jeffrey and wife Brenda, both of Baldwin City; and four grandchildren.



Madelyn and Donald Moss

Donald and Madelyn Moss, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception of family and friends Nov. 22 in the Malott Room of the Kansas Union at Kansas University. The event was celebrated in conjunction with the 40th wedding anniversary of Koichi and Misako Kabeya, Ofuna, Japan, and the first wedding anniversary of their children, Sheldon Moss and Mina Kabeya, Tokyo, Japan. This was the first time the Kabeya family visited the United States.
Donald Moss and Madelyn Minnich were married Jan. 17, 1959, in Sacramento, Calif.
Don earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, a Master of Arts degree from California State University in Sacramento, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from KU. He was a psychologist for several years in Topeka and retired in 2000 after 17 years in private practice as a clinical psychologist in Lawrence.
Madelyn earned a registered nursing degree from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, a Bachelor of Science degree in health education and a Master of Arts degree in human development from KU. She was employed in various settings including staff positions in hospital and outpatient nursing, infant development research, and as a clinical trials study monitor in pharmaceutical research and development. She also retired in 2000.
The couple request no gifts.



Susan and Thomas Jordan

Susan and Thomas Jordan, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner party Friday with friends and a family luncheon today.
Susan K. Kidwell and Thomas J. Jordan were married Jan. 23, 1959, in the Coffeyville First Baptist Church.
Thomas was an art teacher for 37 years. He taught at Ottawa High School, Manhattan Junior High School and Lawrence High School.
Susan was a teacher for 24 years. She was a media teacher at Lawrence High before becoming a gifted consultant at Olathe Santa Fe Trail Junior High School and Central Junior High School.
They have three daughters, Dr. Holly Jordan, Hillsborough, N.C., Christina Jordan Selk, Lawrence, and Jill Jordan, Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
The couple requests no gifts.


Fouts and Leach

Julie and Andrew Fouts

Julie Jean Leach and Andrew Levi Fouts, both of Lawrence, were married June 14, 2008, at Danforth Chapel on the Kansas University campus, with the Rev. James Bush officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Peggy Nicholl, Lawrence, and Jim Leach, Burnsville, Minn.
The groom is the son of Tom and Pat Fouts, Columbus.
Maid of honor was Joanna Leach. Best man was Nathan Fouts. Bridesmaid was Lisa Olson. Groomsman was Wally Olson. Ushers were Jason Leach and David Nicholl. Personal attendant was Meghan Leach. Honorary attendants were Kelly Bernaix and Carrie Blalock. Guitarist and soloist was Michael Helweg. Organist was Sunny Son.
A reception was given at Adams Alumni Center at KU.
The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Kansas State University. She is a teacher in the Lawrence public schools.
The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from KU. He is a graduate student in the dual Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration program at KU.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Antonella Lagomarsino, Quillota, Chile, and Christopher Willette, Lawrence, announce their engagement.
The bride is the daughter of Sandro and Elizabeth Lagomarsino, Quillota. She is a graduate of Nuestra Senora del Huerto High School. She earned a business management degree at Gabriella Mistral University in Santiago, Chile. She is employed by an international trading organization in Barcelona, Spain.
The groom is the son of Scott and Mary Ann Willette, Lawrence. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Miami of Ohio University. He worked for a Latin American business news agency for six years in Santiago and is studying for a master’s degree at IESE in Barcelona.
The couple plan a June 20, 2009, wedding in Santiago.


Stewart and Powell

Christopher Powell and Alayna Stewart

Chris and Stacy Stewart and Matt and Linda Powell, all of McLouth, announce the engagement of their children, Alayna Stewart, McLouth, and Christopher Powell, Manhattan.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of McLouth High School. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Kansas State University in 2008. She teaches K-4 music in the Perry-Lecompton school district.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of McLouth High. He earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and political science from K-State in 2006. He is studying for a Masters of Public Administration degree at K-State.
The couple plan a June 27, 2009, wedding at St. Theresa’s Church in Perry.


Langford and Winch

Graham Winch and Jacinta Langford

James “Buddy” and Irene Langford announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacinta Langford, to Graham Winch, all of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 2004 graduate of Kansas University. She is employed by Absorbent, Ink. and is the co-owner of LangfordSevier, a marketing firm.
The future groom is the son of Doug and Karen Winch, Marietta, Ga. He is a 1998 graduate of Walton High School. He is a 2003 graduate of KU and a December 2008 graduate of KU’s School of Law.
The couple plan an Aug. 28, 2009, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.
