Randi and Rory Harms
Randi Young, Lawrence, and Rory Harms, Halstead, were married June 6, 2008, at Stony Point Hall in Baldwin City, with the Rev. Jill Jarvis officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Linda Young, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Orlin and Terrie Harms, Enid, Okla., and Brenda Harms, Newton.
Maid of honor was Alexandra Todd. Best man was Travis Harms. Usher was Cody Young. Readers were Susan Rickman and Nolan Dealy.
A reception followed at Stony Point Hall. DJ was Brandon Hardtarfer.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Free State High School. She received a bachelor's degree in political science from Kansas University in 2006. She is a juvenile diversion coordinator for the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Halstead High School. He attended KU. He is a 2003 graduate of Ocean Corporation Commercial Diving School in Houston. He is studying graphic design at Wichita State University.
The couple reside in Wichita.

Andrew and Michelle Crowe
Michelle Brunt, Lawrence, and Andrew Crowe, Troy, Mich., were married Sept. 20, 2008, at Haiku Gardens in Kaneohe, Hawaii, with the Rev. Frank Mak officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Carol Long, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Robert and Cheri Crowe, Troy, Mich.
A reception was given at Haleiwa Joe's at Haiku Gardens.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign languages from Emporia State University in 2003. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2004. She graduated from Army Officer Candidate School in 2007. She is a first lieutenant with the 2-35th Infantry Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Troy High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Western Michigan University in 2006. He was commissioned in the U.S. Army through R.O.T.C. He is a first lieutenant with the 2-27th Infantry Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks.
The couple reside in Waialua, Hawaii.

Tristan and Krista Moody
Krista Lynn Miller, Richlands, Va., and Tristan Chamberlin Moody, were married July 19, 2008 at Danforth Chapel on the Kansas University campus, with the Rev. Maria Campbell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mitch Miller, Richlands, and Bobbie Miller, Lebanon, Va.
The groom is the son of Bob and Patsy Moody, Lawrence.
Matron of honor was Chelsea Washington. Maid of honor was Melissa Harmon. Best man was Sterling Moody. Bridesmaids were Erica Newnum and Amanda Reynolds. Groomsmen were Colin Constance, Jordan Gouge and Patrick Hunninghake. Flower girl was Halle Washington. Ring bearer was Braiden Schaaf. Ushers were Elliot Hoefs and Jackie Hershman. Guest book attendant was Cooper Farr. Musicians were Gordon Fry, trumpet; Erin Bryan, trumpet; Andrew Fyler, baritone; Shelton Heilman, mellophone; and Kirsten Hoogstraten, tuba. Wedding coordination services were provided by Red Door Event & Design. Photographer was Matt Needham.
A reception was given at Abe & Jake's Landing.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Richlands High School in Richlands. She is a 2002 graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College and a 2007 graduate of KU. She earned a bachelor's degree in applied behavioral science with an emphasis in early-childhood education and intervention. She is studying for a master's degree in the Unified Early Childhood program at KU.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School. He is a 2005 and 2008 graduate of KU, earning a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering. He is studying for a doctorate in the same field at KU.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Denny and Walter Ewert
Denny Ellen Brown, Emporia, and Walter Joseph Ewert, Lawrence, were married Sept. 13, 2008, at the home of Tony and Becki Ewert, the groom's parents, with the Rev. Rick Mumford officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Vince and Nancy Brown, Emporia.
The groom is the son of Tony and Becki Ewert, Lawrence.
Flower girl was Tassi Ewert.
A reception followed at the home of Tony and Becki Ewert.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Emporia High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Emporia State University. She is an administrative assistant for the city of Lawrence.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree in sociology from Kansas University. He is the government affairs coordinator for Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging in Topeka. He is also an Army veteran of the war in Iraq.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Gretel and Manfred Hentschel
Manfred and Gretel Hentschel, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16 with family and friends in Estes Park, Colo.
Manfred Hentschel and Gretel Sonnenfroh were married Oct. 11, 1958, in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
They have three daughters, Sabine Jones and husband Michael, Lawrence; Margit Hentschel and husband Aaron Fodge, Fort Collins, Colo.; and Anette Kirby, Charlottesville, Va.
They have three grandchildren.
