Michael and Alarie Ornburn
Alarie Sims, Blue Springs, Mo., and Michael Ornburn, Lawrence, were married July 26, 2008, at the Church of St. Mary Aldermanbury Churchill Memorial on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., with the Rev. Steve Cox officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Warren and Cheryl Sims, Blue Springs, Mo.
The groom is the son of David and Nancy Ornburn, Lawrence.
Matron of honor was Molly Hanley. Maid of honor was Kristin Smith. Best man was Jason Chacko. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Simpson and Chelsey Ornburn. Junior bridesmaid was Alexa Carmichael. Groomsmen were Brig Halpin, Greg Sims and Jacob Ornburn. Junior groomsman was Andrew Ornburn.
A reception was given at Backer Dining Hall at Westminster College.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Blue Springs High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from William Woods University in 2006. She is employed with Home Federal Bank in Middlesboro, Ky.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and political science from Westminster College in 2006, and a Master of Science degree in biomedical sciences from Midwestern University in 2008. He is a first-year medical student at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tenn.
The couple reside in Cumberland Gap, Tenn.

Lance and Julia Rombough announce the engagement of their son, Adam Joshua Rombough to Amanda Mae Miller, all of Lawrence.
The future bride is the daughter of Robert and Beth Miller, Edgerton. She is a graduate of Gardner-Edgerton High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications from Baker University and a Master of Science degree in journalism from Kansas University. She is an account manager for the Game Developer’s Conference with United Business Media in Lawrence.
The future groom is a graduate of Free State High School. He attended Baker University and is a student at Johnson County Community College. He plans to graduate with an associate’s degree in information technology in May 2009. He is employed with the Lawrence Journal-World.
The couple plan a June 13, 2009, wedding at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin City.

The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Caney Valley High School. She earned a journalism degree from Kansas University in 2006. She is studying for a Master of Business Administration degree at KU. She is a staff writer for KU Alumni Association.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School. He earned an economics degree from KU in 2006. He is an information specialist at KU.
The couple plan a June 28, 2009, wedding in Lawrence.

The future bride is the daughter of Timothy Krutz, Eudora, and Debra Hewitt, Grantville. She attended Oskaloosa High School. She received certifications as an emergency medical technician and an emergency medical technician intermediate from American Medical Response in Topeka, where she is employed as an emergency medical technician-intermediate.
The future groom is the son of Douglas and Paula Darling, Leavenworth. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1998 and Kansas University in 2002. He also received an associate’s degree as a paramedic in 2008. He is a firefighter-paramedic with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical.
The couple plan a Jan. 17, 2009, wedding at Danforth Chapel on the KU campus.

Tara Belles and James Holder, both of Lawrence, were married Aug. 9, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Kent Wintes-Hazelton officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Lorraine Beal, Lawrence, and the late Steven Belles.
The groom is the son of Richard and Judy Holder, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Marie Daniels. Best man was J.C. Scruggs. Bridesmaid was Julie Scruggs. Groomsman was Samson Patterson. Flower girl was Shaylah Belles. Ring bearer was Wyatt Pringle. Ushers were Cody Belles, Jason Shafer and Josh Kennedy. Videographer was Richard Wieneman. Guestbook attendants were Weston Pringle and Kelley Daniels. Memorial Candle lighter was Norma Belles, the bride’s grandmother.
A reception followed at First Presbyterian Church.

The bride is a graduate of Great Bend High School and Washburn University. She is a vascular sonographer with Veterans Health Administration.
The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended Kansas State University. He is a firefighter/paramedic with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis Smith and Eloise Bornheim, both of Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Bruce and Patricia Bell, Suffolk, Va.
Maid of honor was Emily Stout. Best man was Bruce Bell. The bride was given away by her son, Aeron Stokes. Flower girl was Aspen McCart. Ring bearer was Jackson McCart. The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Washburn University for two years. She attends Highland Community College part-time, while she is employed with the Lawrence school district.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Plato High School. He attended Devry University and is employed with Garmin International in Olathe.

The groom is the son of Wayne Sailor and Wendy Turnbull, Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Free State High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Kansas University. She is a nurse with Sangamon Anesthesia Associates in Springfield, Ill.
The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from KU. He is an engineer with Kiewit Corp.
