Billy and Joyce Price
Joyce Barba, Wichita, and Billy Price, Lawrence, were married Sept. 13, 2008, in a bamboo grove in the backyard of their residence, with Cleo Murphy, aunt of the groom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tony Barba, Wichita, and the late Ely Barba.
The groom is the son of Mack and Kirsten Price and Mary Brand, all of Lawrence.
Flower girls were Trina Gorospe, Nina De Castro and Kirsten Gorospe. Ring bearers were Michael Abay and Jayden Barba. Wedding witnesses were Amy Price and Sandy Barba. Live musicians were Junkyard Jazz and Tony Barba. DJ was Sarah Brokenleg and Rik Minick. Photographers were Parigo Studios in Lexington, Mo. A wedding cake was provided by Cakes by Joe. Food was provided by Liz Karr Catering with a whole hog provided by Oakley Creek Catering.
A reception was given at the couple’s home.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School in Wichita. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in human development and family life from Kansas University in 2005. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Baker University in 2007. She is a registered nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Mo. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from KU in 2001. He is the owner and manager of Billy Construction, a local construction and contracting business, since 2004.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Dawn M. Sales and Jeffrey A. Barnhardt were married June 7, 2008, at the Branded B Ranch in Meriden, with the Rev. William Kraus officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Danny and Marcia Sales, Topeka.
The groom is the son of Ronnie and Diana Barnhardt, Lecompton.
Matron of honor was Tammy Barnhardt. Best man was John Boose. Bridesmaids were Sarah Thompson, Katie Sales and Christine Sales. Groomsmen were Matt Barnhardt, Jeremy Conway and Joshua Sales. Flower girls were Amelia Barnhardt and Sydney Barnhardt. Ring bearer was Braydon Barnett.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Seaman High School.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School.
The couple reside in Perry.

Ryan and Aimee Walkiewicz
Aimee Richardson, Lawrence, and Ryan Walkiewicz, Prairie Grove, Ill., were married Sept. 27, 2008, at Danforth Chapel on the Kansas University campus, with the Rev. Rod Hinkle officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Earl and Teresa Richardson, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Bill and Carman Walkiewicz, Prairie Grove, Ill.
Maid of honor was Mallory Martinez. Best man was Bill Walkiewicz. Bridesmaid was Kelsey Richardson. Groomsman was Mike Walkiewicz. Flower girls were Savanna Dey and Abygale Green. Program attendants were Lindsay Poe Rousseau and Jennifer Overstreet.
A reception was given at Maceli’s.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with university honors in English and sociology from KU in 2005. She is a 2008 graduate of KU’s School of Law. She is an associate attorney with the law firm of Riling, Burkhead & Nitcher, Chartered, in Lawrence.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Ill. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., in 2005. He is a 2007 graduate of KU’s School of Law. He is an assistant district attorney for Wyandotte County.
The couple reside in Kansas City, Kan.

Lisa and Tony Meyers were married Nov. 23, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Westerville, Ohio, with Rev. Kristin Schutte officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Deb Pentecost, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Wonda and Mike Ball, Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Scott Meyers and Dorene Sayre, Sidney, Ohio.
Maid of honor was Valerie Pentecost. Best man was Jonathan Bomer. Bridesmaids were Kelly Gorman, Jennifer Scheid and Shannon Clark. Groomsmen were Jason Meyers, Chad Meyers and Mike Mullins. Organist was Janice Sharp. Bell ringers were Troy Meyers and Kohl Kirkland. Maid of flowers was Grace Meyers. Wedding and reception hosts were Stan and Kathy Scheid and Margaret McKinney.
A reception was given at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin, Ohio.
The bride is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design. She is studying for a Master of Business Administration degree at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She is employed with Verizon Wireless.
The groom is a graduate of Lima Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army and is a research and development technician in the automotive industry.
The couple reside in Columbus, Ohio.

Johnathon Kemp and Amanda Morford
Johnathon Kemp and Amanda Morford, both of Columbia, Mo., announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Laura Morford, Baldwin City, and John Morford, Missouri City, Texas. She is a 2001 graduate of Baldwin High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Missouri. She is employed by Key Largo Fitness and Columbia Swim Club.
The future groom is the son of Marty and Kathy Hodges, Hallsville, Mo., and Kevin Kemp, Fulton, Mo. He is a 2003 graduate of Fulton High School and is attending MU, where he’s majoring in pre-med/chemistry. He is also employed by the Boone Hospital as a clinical support associate.
The couple plan a May 3, 2009, wedding at the Les Bourgeois Winery in Rocheport, Mo.
