Delbert and Lois Breithaupt will celebrate their 50th anniversary from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 2, 2008, with a reception at the First Southern Baptist Church of Eudora, 1103 Main St.
The reception will be given by their children, Dan and Ann Basel, Eudora, and Delbert and Reta Breithaupt, Wellsville.
Delbert and Lois were married Aug. 22, 1958, in Eudora.
Delbert was an electrician for the cities of Eudora, De Soto and Baldwin City. He also worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant. He is the city superintendent of Eudora.
Lois worked for the Eudora schools kitchens for 13 years and for the Eudora Nursing Center as a certified nursing assistant for 15 years.
They have six grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
All family and friends are welcome.
Elizabeth Brinkley and Makakoloa Pateta, both of Reno, Nev., were married May 31, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Dr. Gary Teske and the Rev. Bill Ester officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Mary Brinkley, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of the late Viliami and Mele Pateta.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Kansas State University in 2001. She received a Master of Arts degree in educational leadership from the University of Nevada, Reno, Nev., in 2004. She is the athletic trainer for the Sierra Center for Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Washoe County School District in Reno.
The groom is a graduate of Tonga High School, Nuku'alofa, Tonga. He earned an Associate of Arts degree in architectural drafting from Honolulu Community College in 1997. He is the senior drafter for Ganthner, Melby, L.L.C. in Reno. He is a member of the Reno Zephyrs Rugby Club.
The couple reside in Reno.

The bride is the daughter of Ted and Marcia McFarlane, Overland Park.
The groom is the son of Pam Stockham, Overland Park, and the late Norman Stockham.

The groom is 1989 graduate of Jefferson West High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in film studies from KU in 1996. He is employed as an information technology analyst with the university for LAN Support Services.
