Fruetel and Fritzel
Molly Fruetel and Patrick Fritzel were married July 7, 2007, at the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort in Naples, Fla., with Pastor Thomas Funk officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gordon and Cheryl Fruetel, Richmond, Va. The groom is the son of Tim and Cindy Fritzel, Lawrence.
The maid of honor was Megan Fruetel. The best man was Erik Crowell. Bridesmaids were Becca Fritzel and Kylie Fritzel. Groomsmen were Dave Bennett and Matt Collins.
A reception followed at the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort.
Molly is a 2000 graduate of Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Conn. She received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in speech-language-hearing from Kansas University in 2004, and a Master of Education in communication disorders from the University of Virginia in 2006. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist at Nottingham Elementary School in Eudora.
Patrick is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School and attended KU. He received a degree in construction management from Johnson County Community College in 2005. He is employed as a job superintendent with Gene Fritzel Construction.
The couple reside in Eudora.
Hannah Davoren and Randall Schumacher were married July 14, 2007, at Mater Dei Catholic Church in Topeka, with the Rev. Jon Hullinger officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Debra Davoren, Tonganoxie. The groom is the son of Richard and Mary Schumacher, Topeka.
The maid of honor was Emily Davoren. The best man was Nick Schumacher. The bridesmaid was Elizabeth Beavers. The groomsman was Levi Pierce. Ring bearer was Jackson Orrick. Flower girls were Samantha Davoren and Sarah Mowery.
A reception followed at the Governor's Row House in Topeka.
Hannah graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 2000 and from Kansas University in 2004. She is a special education teacher for the Turner school district in Kansas City, Kan.
Randy graduated from Topeka High School in 2000 and from KU in 2004. He is in his fourth year at the KU Medical School.
The couple reside in Mission.

The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Catherine Warren, Overbrook. The groom is the son of John and Nadine Cordts, Arizona, formerly of Overbrook.

Brenda is employed as a nurse at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Brad is employed at the Kansas Bureau of Investigation in Overland Park.

Larson and Rachow
Christine Rachow and Lars Larson III were married June 16, 2007, at First St. John Lutheran Church in Kensington, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kurtis and Kathryn Rachow, Phillipsburg. The groom is the son of the late Lars and Donna Larson, Atchison.
The maid of honor was Stacy Rachow. Bridesmaids were Melissa Godinez, Maggie VanKooten and Melissa Babcock. The best man was Patrick Godinez. Groomsmen were Michael Intfen, Eric Lackey and Brad Rachow.
Ushers were Spencer Holeman, Kendrick Holeman and Thomas Rachow. Candlelighters were Hannah Grauerholz and Ranae Vorterstrasse. Guest book attendant and flutist was Melinda Holeman.
A reception, supper and dance were given at the American Legion in Kensington.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. She received a social welfare degree in 2005 from Kansas University. She is pursuing a law degree at Washburn University and is employed by the Law Firm of Tenopir and Huerter in Topeka.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Atchison High School and received a degree in geography from Kansas University in 2004. He is employed as a GIS technician for Douglas County.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
Cassandra Taylor and Aaron Long were married June 16, 2007, in Derby, with Mary Hixon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of James Taylor, Lawrence, and Sarah Kay Brown, Belleville. The groom is the son of John Long and Jeannie Ciemny, Derby.

Cassandra graduated from Olathe South High School and received an English degree from Kansas University. She is employed as marketing department coordinator at Heartland Employee Benefit Services in Lenexa.
Aaron graduated from Derby High School and received a geography degree from KU. He is employed as a tile installer at Kenny's Tile and Floor Covering, and plays in the local band The Bus Company.

Gurley and Percak
George and Susan Gurley, Baldwin City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Gillian Virginia Gurley, Chicago, to Jeffrey Michael Percak, Chicago, son of Jerry Percak and Karen Percak, both of Park Ridge, Ill.
The future bride graduated from The Barstow School in Kansas City, Mo., in 2002. She received a Bachelor of Arts in environmental policy from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., in 2006.
She is employed in Chicago by the Department of Public Health and plans to pursue graduate degrees in law and public health in 2008.
The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Maine South High School in Park Ridge. He received a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience from Pomona College in 2004 and is pursuing a medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago.

Suitt and Dlugosh

Jim and Georgia Bachman, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception and dance at 7 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.
They were married Aug. 17, 1957, at the Catholic church in Falls City, Neb.
Jim worked in the floor covering industry for more than 34 years. Georgia worked as a childcare provider for Head Start and other programs. She also was a homemaker.
Their children are Pamela Dawson, Lodi, Calif.; Judy Bachman, Lawrence; Bill Bachman, Stanwood, Wash.; Jamie Newman, Lecompton; and Rachel Cullison, Lawrence. They have 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Sam and Doris Bartkoski, Tonganoxie, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their wedding vows, set for 1 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Circle S Ranch in Lawrence.
They were married Aug. 21, 1987, at Stanwood Church in Jefferson County.
Their children are Cheryl Behymer Bryant, Oskaloosa; Donna Behymer Bartkoski, Mark Behymer, Fred Behymer, Diana Beach, and David Bartkoski, all of Tonganoxie; Tony Bartkoski, Gardner; Susan Talbott, Wichita; Sharon Mathia, Topeka; Vickie Petrie, McLouth; and Linda Durkes, Lawrence.
They have 40 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Delvis and Jeanne Steffey, Ozawkie, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Ozawkie United Methodist Church. Friends and neighbors are invited.
They were married Aug. 21, 1957, in Oskaloosa.
After attending Kansas State University, Delvis worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. on the Kansas Turnpike. He then joined Mobil Oil Corp., where he worked as supervisor of office services, and supervisor of the credit card fraud investigation division. He retired in 1993.
Jeanne was a counselor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Kansas University for 32 years. She retired in 1995.
Delvis and Jeanne lived in Lawrence for 21 years before moving to the family farm in Ozawkie.
Their children, who will be hosts for the reception, are Mahlon and Cindy Steffey, Melanie and Roger Bostwick, and Dave and Shelly Steffey, all of Ozawkie; and Monte and Ann Steffey, Omaha, Neb.
They have seven grandchildren.

Jim and Barbara Wright, Wellsville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Wellsville Nutrition Site, 707 Locust.
They were married Feb. 2, 1957, at the Wellsville Baptist Church.
Jim and Barbara graduated from Wellsville High School in 1955 and 1956, respectively. Jim graduated from Ottawa University and began teaching at Wellsville High School. He taught for 39 years and coached for 47 years.
Barbara worked as kindergarten aide, computer aide, attendance secretary and office secretary at Wellsville Elementary School for 27 years.
Their children are Brad and Carol Wright, Baldwin City; Curt and Karen Wright, Wellsville; and Jana and Joe Tobin, Olathe. They have six grandchildren.
