Marion and Earl Shutt
Earl and Marion Shutt, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a Caribbean cruise with their children in January.
They were married Feb. 12, 1955, in Eudora.
Marion graduated from Eudora High School in 1950. She graduated from St. Lukes School of Nursing in Kansas City, Mo., in 1955. She worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in the maternity unit and then for obstetrician and gynecologist specialists in Lawrence until retirement in 1991.
Felix graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948. He attended Kansas University for three years. He worked in construction as a union carpenter until retiring in 1989.
Their children are Tom Shutt, Edgerton; Linda Coleman, Eudora; and Cynthia Shutt-Brown, Lawrence. They have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Malsbury
Gary and Alice Malsbury, Oskaloosa, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception starting at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Winchester Community Building.
Gary Dale Malsbury and Alice Marie Newell were married Feb. 13, 1965, in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden.
Gary retired in August 1998 as a communications technician from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Topeka. Alice is a homemaker.
The couple's children are Gary Dale Malsbury Jr., Topeka; Jason and Dorothy Malsbury, Lawrence; Chris and Angelia Malsbury, Valley Falls; Craig Malsbury, Amy Malsbury, James and Aubrey Malsbury, Christine Malsbury and C.J. Malsbury, Oskaloosa. They have three grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Salber
Ronald and Carol Ann Salber, Lawrence, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
Ron Salber and Carol Ann Kaufman were married Feb. 13, 1965, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Russell.
Ron spent the majority of his career in the oil field industry but later worked for the Lawrence Paper Co. He retired in 2004. Carol Ann is an office administrator for Scott Temperature.
The couple have two children, Ryan Salber and Kelly Rice, both of Lawrence, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
