The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis from Kansas University in 2008. She works for both the Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training at KU Medical Center and the Kansas City Autism Training Center.
The future groom is the son of Marla Dercher, Overland Park. He is a 1996 graduate of Olathe East High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in film and media studies from KU in 2001 and is co-owner of Capital Business Service, an electronic payments provider in Overland Park.
The couple plan a November 2010 wedding at Mildale Farm in Edgerton.
Perez and Fry

The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kansas University in 2009 and is a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
The future groom is the son of Jose Perez, Topeka, and Patricia and Ronald Brenton, Lawrence. He also is a 2005 graduate of FSHS. He is studying for an associate degree in medical laboratory technology at Barton Community College, and is a senior laboratory assistant at LMH.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Kathy Wortman, Lincoln, Neb.
The groom is the son of Gene and Carol Allton, Hutchinson.

The bride is a graduate of Hutchinson High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University, and a juris doctor from Kansas University School of Law. She is a research attorney with the Kansas Court of Appeals, Topeka.
The groom is a graduate of Buhler High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from KU, and a juris doctor, also from KU School of Law. He is a staff attorney with Legal Services for Students at KU.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

The bride is the daughter of Dean and Judy Kettle, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Todd and Kristin Nichol, Northfield.

The bride is a graduate of Free State High School and of St. Olaf College in Northfield. She is an elementary school music teacher in Danville, Ill.
The groom is a graduate of Roseville Area High School in St. Paul, Minn., and a graduate of St. Olaf College. He is a doctoral student of physics at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The couple reside in Champaign, Ill.
Flotmann and Flottman
Larry and Vernis Flottman, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.
The couple were married on May 1, 1960, at the First Christian Church in Iola.
Larry retired from Arensberg’s Shoes after 45 years in June 2008. He is a graduate of Coffeyville Community College. Vernis retired in 2005 from the Douglas County Conservation District as the district manager. Prior to 27 years at the conservation office, she owned and operated Flottman Upholstery.
They a have two sons, Terry Gilbert and partner Paul Beppler, Seattle, and Jeff Flottman and wife Lori Engelmann, Leawood; a daughter, Marci Stanwix and husband Rick, Lawrence; and five grandchildren.
Richard “Dick” and Georgia Smith, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner next Saturday with friends and family.
Dick Smith and Georgia House were married May 7, 1950, in Johnson City.
Dick is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and Georgia is retired from First National Bank, both in Hutchinson.
They have a son, Steve; a daughter, Marsha Jones and husband, David, all of Lawrence; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.
Dale and Thelma Bellinger, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Wednesday with their children and grandchildren.
The couple were married May 5, 1950, at Danforth Chapel at Kansas University.
Dale is retired from Dale and Ron’s Auto Service, and Thelma is retired from Dr. Monti Belot’s office, both in Lawrence.
They have two daughters, Peggy Christian, Grand Island, Neb., and Debbie Bellinger, Topeka; a son, Rick and wife Laura, Lawrence; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
