The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Lee's Summit North High School. He received bachelor's degrees in elementary education and liberal arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He earned a master's degree in education in 2004 from the University of Missouri. He teaches eighth-grade American history in Lee's Summit, Mo.

Jane Armstrong and Leland Massey were married Oct. 3, 1956, in Oahu, Hawaii. Jane recently retired from the Eudora school district after driving a bus for nearly 40 years. Leland was employed by Koch Industries and has been an auctioneer for many years.
Their children are Kenny and Diane Massey and Stacy Massey and her fiance, Gary Gazzarari, all of Eudora. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rosie Hodge retired from the Lawrence school district, where she worked in the cafeteria.
