Whitney and Andrew Bartlow
Whitney Rinck, Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Andrew Bartlow, Lawrence, were married July 19, 2008, at the Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel in Baldwin City, with the Rev. Chad Donahoe officiating.
The bride is the daughter of William Rinck, Grain Valley, Mo., and Terry Rinck, Lee’s Summit.
The groom is the son of Michael and Melanie Bartlow, Baldwin City.
Maid of honor was Jennifer Bradley. Best man was Jesse Schultz. Bridesmaids were Mikayla Medlock, Elizabeth Bartlow and Abigail Bartlow. Groomsmen were Tyler Wallace, Patrick Rinck and Mick Medlock. Ring bearer was Ty Medlock. Flower girl was Kara Sue Hehemann. Ushers were Chris Hehemann and Truyn Mosher. Program attendant was Macy Woods. Wedding coordinator was Rae Elliot.
A reception was given at Signs of Life Art Gallery in Lawrence.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Lee’s Summit Senior High School. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in German and international studies from Baker University in May. She is a multimedia consultant for The World Company.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Veritas Christian School. He is studying accounting at Kansas University and plans to graduate in 2010.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

DeAnna Darting, Baldwin City, and Christopher Schulz, Overland Park, were married Oct. 25, 2008, at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Overland Park, with the Rev. Harry Schneider officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Jan Darting, Baldwin City.
The groom is the son of Nancy Schulz, Overland Park, and the late Charles Schulz.
Maid of honor was Deon Darting. Best man was Scott See. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Davis, Jana Keeley and Jessica Ward. Groomsmen were Scott Schulz, Dustin Darting and Brett Bollig. Flower girls were Hayden Darting, Alyssa Ward and Ashley Schulz. Ring bearer was Ryan Schulz. Ushers were Daniel Palmer and Dillon Palmer. Program attendant was Debra Palmer. Bride’s attendants were Amy Ringler and Lauren Ringler.
A reception was given at Deer Creek Country Club in Overland Park.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Baldwin High School and a 2005 graduate of Kansas State University. She is the event manager for the Marriott Country Club Plaza hotel in Kansas City, Mo.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School and a 2006 graduate of K-State. He is employed with Ryan Lawn and Tree in Overland Park.
The couple reside in Overland Park.

Allison Michelle York, Godfrey, Ill., and Daniel Carl Pierron, Olathe, were married June 7, 2008, at World’s Fair Pavilion in Forest Park in St. Louis, with the Honorable Judge Janice Russell and the Rev. Steven Helfrich officiating.
The bride is the daughter of C. Michael and Gayle York, Godfrey, Ill.
The groom is the son of Joe and Diana Pierron, Lawrence, and the late Amy Dennis Pierron.
Maid of honor was Christina Bader. Best man was Sam Pierron. Bridesmaids were Abby Pierron, Kelli Stout, Marissa Marti, Allison Nowak, Andrea Wolf, Kristin McLinn and Megan LaTempt. Groomsmen were Michael Jacobson, Andrew Dennis, Chris Larson, Stephen Scobee, Jesse Scott, Jason York and Brittany Young. Ushers were Max Chartrand and Keith Henderson. Program attendants were Rose Reynolds and Laura Reynolds. Ring bearer was David Crow. Flower girl was Ava Beavin.
A reception was given at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Alton High School in Alton, Ill. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Kansas University in 2007. She is studying for a Master of Science Nursing degree at Rush University in Chicago.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Olathe South High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering physics from KU in 2008. He is studying for a Juris Doctorate at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
The couple reside in Chicago.

Mark and Terry Wilkinson and Butch and Judy Adams announce the engagement of their children, Lauren Wilkinson and Nick Adams, all of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School. She earned an English degree with teaching certification from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2005. She is an English teacher at FSHS. She is also a dietary aide at Brandon Woods at Alvamar. She is enrolled in Emporia State University’s instructional design and technology graduate program.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of FSHS. He is a sales representative for Standard Beverage Corp. in Lawrence. He is studying business at Baker University.
The couple plan a June 2009 wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.

Katie Bell and Mitchell White
Keith and Kay White announce the engagement of their son, Mitchell White, all of Lawrence, to Katie Bell, Austin, Texas.
The future bride is the daughter of Kermit and Cindy Bell, Austin. She is a 2006 graduate of NYOS charter school in Austin. She plans to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in May and work in the accounting office at the university.
The future groom is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is a junior at Southwestern Assemblies. He plans to graduate with an associate’s degree in business and bachelor’s degree in youth ministry in 2010. He is employed at Assemblies of God Credit Union where he plans to continue working until he becomes a youth minister with the Assemblies of God.
The couple plan a May 29, 2009, wedding at Glad Tidings of Austin in Texas.

Kay and Bill Hodge
Willard “Bill” and Melva “Kay” Hodge will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 10 with an open house reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their rural Douglas County home. The event will be hosted by their children.
The couple were married on Jan. 9, 1959, in Lawrence.
Bill is retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Lawrence after 29 years of service. He also retired from Stanion Wholesale Electric after 12 years. Kay retired from the Douglas County Zoning Office and Purchasing Office after 12 years of service. She also served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for 13 years.
They have two children, Lisa and Rick Stradley, Lawrence, and Doug Hodge, Berryton. They have three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Charles and Marsha McPheeters, Lawrence, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of Jeffrey and Priscilla McPheeters, 624 N. 1600 Road, Lawrence.
Charles Edwin McPheeters and Marsha Sue Robinson were married Jan. 4, 1969, in Kansas City, Kan.
Charles has been an agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company for over 40 years.
