Laura Anne Meyer and Dale Robert Pfeifer, both of Shawnee, along with their parents, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Allen and Wilma Meyer, Lawrence. She graduated from Lawrence High School and received a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Colorado. She received a master's degree in international management from Thunderbird. Laura is the director of development for the Interstitial Cystitis Assn.
The future groom is the son of Wilbert Pfeifer, Hays, and the late LeeAnn Pfeifer. He is a graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in Hays. He received a bachelor's degree in business from Fort Hays State University and a master's degree in finance from Kansas University. He is employed in the investments division of UMB Bank.
The couple plan a Sept. 2, 2006, wedding at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Lawrence.

Adam and Tracy Miller
Tracy Whealy and Adam Miller were married March 18, 2006, at Circle S Ranch in Lawrence with Judge Jack Murphy officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kent Whealy and Diane Whealy, both of Decorah, Iowa. Parents of the groom are Jon and Judy Miller, Seagrove Beach, Fla.
Carrie Miller and Amy Whealy welcomed guests to the ceremony. Ushers were Aaron Whealy and Derek Schumm. Carrie Whealy and Jessica Whealy were readers.
A reception was given at Circle S Ranch.
The bride is a graduate of Thomas Roberts Senior High School in Decorah, Iowa. She received a bachelor's degree in business management from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and a master's degree in international studies from Kansas University. She is office manager for the Office of Study Abroad at KU.
The groom is a graduate of Lafayette High School, Wildwood, Mo., and received a bachelor's degree in English from KU. He also is a graduate of Massage Therapy Training Institute in Kansas City., Mo., and is a massage therapist at Advantage Medical Group in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Stacy Meredith Ash and Michael Andrew Glaves were married May 6, 2006, at C&W Ranch in Smolan with the Rev. Michael Nelson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Jacqueline Ash, Assaria, and the groom is the son of Paul and Yvonne Glaves, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Jessey Johnson, and best man was Dan Knostman. Noah Enich was ring bearer, and Audrey Ash was flower girl. Matt Needham was photographer.
A reception was given at C&W Ranch in Smolan.
The bride graduated from Southeast of Saline High School and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from Kansas University. She is a targeted case manager and autism consultant at Community Living Opportunities.
The groom is a graduate of Shawnee Heights High School and attended Kansas State University. He is an independent living program coordinator at Community Living Opportunities.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Free State High School and attends Kansas University. She plans to attend medical school after graduation.
The future groom, whose mother was the late Pam Martinez, also is a 2003 Free State High School graduate and is studying biology at KU. He also plans to attend medical school.
The couple plan a May 26, 2007, wedding at Danforth Chapel at KU.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeff and Robbyn Van Horn, Baldwin. She received a bachelor's degree in management from Baker University, where she is pursuing a master's degree in management. She is a bank examiner for the Office of Thrift Supervision.
The future groom is the son of Carolyn Fore and the late Darrell Fore, Overland Park, and Mike and Linda Claypool, Wichita. He received a bachelor's degree from Avila University. He is employed by Pearson Government Solutions and is the lead guitarist for the local band, the Basixx.
The couple plan a Sept. 30, 2006, wedding at the Baker University Chapel in Baldwin.

Gary Brunk and Joey Sprague, both of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Sprague-Brunk, Bloomington, Ind., to Scott Jones, Bloomington, son of Donald Jones, New Carlisle, Ohio, and Patricia Alexander, Ruidoso, N.M.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Beloit College, Beloit, Wis., and received a master's degree in sociology from Indiana University. She is pursuing a doctorate.
The future groom is a graduate of Tecumseh High School, New Carlisle, Ohio, and Earlham College, Richmond, Ind. He is employed as an auto mechanic.
The couple plan an Aug. 26, 2006, wedding in the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre in Bloomington, Ind.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Kim Neis, Eudora, and the groom is the son of Terry and Sally Beets, Edwardsville.
Kari Driskell was maid of honor, and Beth Dillon and Cathy Yoakum were bridesmaids. Best man was Brian Beets, and groomsmen were Darick Willis and Matt McBratney. The couple's daughters escorted them down the aisle for the ceremony. A reception was given at Fall Leaf Farms.
The bride is a homemaker, and the groom is operations manager for Servicemasters in Basehor.
The couple reside in Tonganoxie.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Peggy Harlan, Clinton, Ark., and the groom is the son of Tom Williams and Janet Williams, both of Lawrence.
Matron of honor was Sandy Sciascia-Zirger, and bridesmaid was Lori Harlan. Zach Williams was best man, and Quentin Rials was groomsman. Ushers were Brent Harlan, Jerry Bausman, Ian Watt and Mojo Williams. Ring bearers were Noah Nonnast-Williams and Jake Harlan.
A reception was given at Center of Grace.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Conway High School, Conway, Ark. She received a bachelor's degree in biology in 1996 from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark., and a doctorate in molecular biosciences in 2003 from Kansas University. The groom is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School.
The couple reside in Lenexa.
