A collection of "I voted" stickers is pictured at the Douglas County Courthouse in this file photo from Nov. 3, 2016.

Douglas County residents cast their votes by mail and at the polls Tuesday. A number of local and state races on the ballot will be decided in the primary, as no opponents from the opposite party filed to run in November’s general election.

Also on the ballot were contested primaries for Kansas seats in U.S. House and U.S. Senate.

Polls closed at 7 p.m., and the Journal-World will update this page with results throughout the evening as votes are counted. More information can be found on the Douglas County clerk’s website and the Kansas secretary of state’s website.
